Choose 10 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and give 2 interventions for each goal that

you can do as a student nurse to transform our world.

GOAL 1: No Poverty:

- As a student nurse, I am sad about this certain situation because poverty is one of the
main problems of our society. If I were given a chance, I want to have a program or
activity where we can help someone by giving them some foods and shelter.
- Also, we could build a team, where we can go to other communities and offer some
jobs to those people who are in need to lessen the poverty.

GOAL 2: Zero Hunger:

- As a student nurse who is currently living here in the Philippines, because of the
poverty, many people are dying because of hunger. I want to host an activity so I can
raise a fund to buy some foods for homeless people to alleviate their hunger.
- I also want to solicit to some people, in any amount would do so I can buy some
essentials for those people who in need.

GOAL 3: Good Health and Well-being:

- As a student nurse, I encourage people to engage in some activities like exercises and
practicing proper diet to be healthy. We should strengthen our immunity to fight
against diseases.
- We could also hold some activities in our community like Zumba and yoga class to
promote healthy living by doing these activities.

GOAL 4: Quality Education:

- As a student nurse, the financial resources provided by government, we should make

a program to improve student accomplishment by addressing infrastructure or
organizational flaws, such as strengthening physical infrastructure, providing teaching
materials, and training and recruiting additional teachers.
- Also, we could use the funds for purchasing computers, laptops and other gadgets that
could help students to learn. We could also provide some textbooks to those students
who can’t afford to buy.

GOAL 5: Gender Equality:

- As a student nurse, we should achieve gender equality and empower men and women.
In order to attain these desired outcomes, the gender-transformative treatments
actively investigate and promote the reformation of negative gender norms and strive
to minimize inequities between men and women.
- We should raise critical understanding of gender norms, expand women's educational
and economic opportunities, promote shared decision-making, or improve services in
ways that ensure women's agency in decision-making.

GOAL 6: Reduced Inequality:

- As a student nurse, we should make some rules, and practices in advocating suitable
legislation, policies, and action.
- Also, we should adopt policies, particularly budgetary, wage, and social protection
programs, to create greater equality over time.

GOAL 7: Sustainable Cities and Communities:

- As a student nurse, we need to provide access to safe, affordable, accessible and
sustainable transport systems for all, improving road safety, notably by expanding
public transport, with special attention to the needs of those in vulnerable situations,
women, children, persons with disabilities and older persons.
- Also, we should strengthen efforts to protect and safeguard the world’s cultural and
natural heritage.

GOAL 8: Climate Action:

- Every country on every continent is affected by climate change. It is wreaking havoc
on national economies and harming people's lives. As a student nurse, we
should improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on
climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning.
- We should take an action because climate change is affecting our life and also, we
should educate our friends, family, or neighbors about climate change and its effect to
nature and people. We should teach them some ways in taking care of our
surroundings to lessen the climate change.

GOAL 9: Life on Land:

- As a student nurse, I would like to have a save trees campaign to spread awareness to
people who don’t know the impact of deforestation to our life and also environment.
We should end deforestation and restore the trees by planting a new one.
- Also, we need to explain to people that we need to protect biodiversity and natural
habitats to prevent the extinction of threatened species.

GOAL 10: Peace and Justice Strong Institutions: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for
sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and
inclusive institutions at all levels
- As a student nurse, we need to promote justice and strong institution. We should
promote the rule of law at the national and international levels and ensure equal
access to justice for all.
- Also, promote and enforce non-discriminatory laws and policies for sustainable
