1. Introduction

Sola: “A pleasant morning to everyone, to our distinguished panelists: Dr. Brenda Corpus,
Ma’am Lirio Banal, and Ma’am Stephanie Yaw; to our Research Adviser Sir Alvin Serrano, Good
Morning”.
We are Research Group #5, with a study entitled “The Perceived Learning Environment and Its
Influence towards Student’s Academic Achievement in Philippine Literature of the Education Students of
the Technological Institute of the Philippines-Q.C”.

The following researchers are:

Azcueta, Ericka Joyce

Gonzales, Solamita
Marimon, Hydee
San Gabriel, Angela Paula

2. Discuss your Rationale

Sola: This study was conducted because the researchers want to know the perceptions of
students in their learning environment as to the BigBlueButton and to determine its significant
influence towards students’ academic achievement in Philippine Literature in education
students. To determine the needs of the student on virtual class

3. Significance of the Study

Sola: This study is significant to the learners, teachers, parents, administrators, and the future
researchers.

For the Learners, this study will make the learners as the main recipient of any modification and
strengthening of the plans that will take place to the course instruction and the curriculum. The learners will
benefit from any developmental changes in their learning environment. Furthermore, it is essential to the
learners to obtain such learning environment that meets their social and academic needs or expectations.
Finally, learners will become more active, motivated and inspired to learn more which will lead them to
become excellent in their academic achievement.
For the Teachers, this study will guide the teachers to determine those key factors in the learning
environment that negatively affects students’ ability to learn. This will help them plan and develop a well-
organized pedagogical framework in facilitating a learning experience to their learners
For the Administrators, this will help them in designing and improving the existing curriculum with
regard to the use of technological tools such as the BigBlueButton, especially in terms of synchronous
learning. As the heads of the administration, the success of the students, teachers, and the entire distance
learning procedures relies in their hands.
For the Parents, this study will aid the parents in developing proper parental support and involvement in
the institution for their children to exhibit progress in school.
For the Future Researchers, this research is beneficial to them as a purpose of making this study their
possible reference for their forthcoming study.

Sola: Next is the presentation will be presented by Hydee Marimon

4. Conceptual Framework

Hydee: This study will employ the “Social Constructivism Theory” by Lev Vygotsky. As you can
see in the figure, Social Constructivism consist of five factors, however Social Interaction factor
is the only focus of this study and those other four factors were disregarded and are indicated
in the Delimitation. The idea of social interaction is that knowledge is co-constructed and that
individuals learn from one another. Learning happens with the assistance of other people, thus
contributing to the social aspect of the theory. It also shows that students assist one another
and co-construct knowledge. This factor is very relevant in this study since the learning mode of
students was online learning. Students were required to engage in social interaction because it
is how the teacher would measure their performance.

Sola: The next will be presented by Angela Paula San Gabriel.

5. Methods and Techniques (methodology)

Paula: This study was using the “Causal Method”, define Causal Method and tell your reasons why you
come up with Causal.

Include the proponent According to Zikmund 2018,…….. (if needed check the recording “Meeting with
groups”

This study will apply the Purposive Sampling. The researchers did not use Sampling technique, the
researchers just simply use the total enumeration to gather significant respondents in this study. The
researchers did not use a probability sampling; instead the researchers use the purposive sampling
because the researchers had criteria in choosing the respondents. Tell your process in gathering data.

This research gathered data from one section in Philippine Literature... tell how did you select the
respondents
6. Perceived Learning environment Survey

Paula: This research employed the “Perceived Learning Environment Survey” with 15 indicators, followed
with unstructured interview from the respondents. The research capability survey is the survey that
measures the capability of the respondents of the Technological Institute of the Philippines. This survey
contains 15 indicators answerable by the Four-Likert Scale, wherein 4 means strongly agree, 3 means
agree, 2 means disagree, and 1 is strongly disagree. Unstructured interview was also applied to give
validity on the result of the survey. (it is your choice how will you deliver it… this is just a guide)

7. Statistical Treatment of Data:

Paula: The researchers applied weighted mean, mean, Test of Significance of r, and regression analysis.

a. Weighted Mean was essential in answering specific statement problem No.1

b. Mean was essential in answering specific statement problem No.2
c. Test of Significance of r was applied to answer statement problem no.3
d. Regression Analysis was used to analyze specific problem no. 4.

Sola: For next presentation will be presented by Hydee Marimon.

8. Summary of Findings:

This time we will proceed to the findings of the research; to answer statement problem No.1: What is the
perceived learning environment of student? “The finding revealed that the respondents strongly agreed that
their perceived learning environment is positive with a grand weighted mean of 3.55 and standard deviation
of 0.60.

Sola: Last presentations will be presented by Ericka Joyce Azcueta.

9. Conclusion

Ericka: The researchersto

 The students agreed that their perceived learning environment is positive because they are
comfortable and satisfied with the features that BigBlueButton has offered to them for learning
