I. TITLE: Webinar on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support

II. LOCATION:Virtual conference via Google Meet

III. SUMMARY

With the breakout of the Covid-19 Pandemic and everything on a standstill, the fear of compromising one’s
health has become the one of the concerns of Filipino people. Physical and Mental Health issues and cases are
on an all-time high. Teachers in the service too, have become vulnerable during these trying times, especially
on the topic of mental health.

The Webinar on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support has shed light on how to deal with psychological
issues with the help of psychiatrists and psychologists, as well as practical tips to combat and overcome the
woes of mental health illnesses.

IV. RESULT

The webinar has become of great help for teachers in taking the reins with regards to one’s mental health
and peace. The event also enabled the School Head and the teachers to see their colleagues in a different light
as they share details about their fight and victory over their mental health issues and disorders. The webinar, in
general has uplifted and enabled the GVES workforce to actively support and assist each other to create a safe
space for everyone in the organization.

V. PROBLEM MET

The following are the problems met during the said activity:

1. The School head and the teachers need active psychological support and assistance.
2. The GVES workforce needs to have informed knowledge and opinion for people who suffer from
mental health illnesses.

VI. SUSTAINABILITY

The best practice of the school to address this problem is to openly discuss mental health support and
collaborate on how to continuously make a conducive workspace for one’s mental health.
