Environmental awareness is to understand the fragility of our environment and the


importance of its protection. Promoting environmental awareness is an easy way to become
an environmental steward and participate in creating a brighter future for our children.

Assessment:

Activity 1:
List down the efforts of the Philippine government in mitigating this environmental problem
(Climate Change).

In chronological order, state how the Philippine laws evolve pertaining to climate change in the
country.

As one of the world's most vulnerable nations, the Philippines is strongly committed to


addressing the threat of climate change. It is a party to the United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change and a signatory to the Kyoto Protocol, which set targets for the
reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions.

Step 1: List down at least three (3) activities that you usually done in daily living. For example;
buying of goods for consumption. Please take note that the given examples are no longer used in
your answer. Write your answer in the first column of Table 1.

Step 2: In the other column, list down its corresponding act as many as you can that you think it
affects the environment negatively. For example; in buying of goods for consumption—using single-
use plastic.
