Design Brief/Problem Statement

Main ideas:
 My main focus is to design a lounge chair with a footstool to increase comfort.
 I am inspired by gothic architecture and motifs. I want to adapt these characteristics to
my lounge chair such as pointed arches and ornate decoration.
 I might add these characteristics to the legs of my chair and the details of the motifs
might be on the framings.
 I want to create a lounge chair the suits to todays sociality. Since COVID-19 happened,
most people are working at home and some will probably stay home even after the
pandemic.
 My chair will focus on comfort as well as the traditional aesthetic of the gothic style.
 I’m focusing on designing a chair that will suit appropriately in the living room.
