Essay:
“DESCRIBE YOURSELF”
My name is Margie Aran͂o, I’m 18 years old. I live with my family and which are my
dad, mom, and a younger sister. I have brown eyes and black hair. My skin tone is white but I’m
a pure Filipino. When it comes to my likes and dislike, I like watching movies, reading e-books
and listening to music while I don’t like eating spicy foods. I also don’t have a particular hobby.
And when it comes to my personality, I am the type of person who can be extrovert and
introvert depending on the person I am talking to. I respect myself and accepted the flaws that I
have. I don’t let someone underestimate nor humiliate me. Aside from that, whenever there is
an argument, I could say that I am an understanding person because I always listen first to the
person and make sure that my opinion doesn’t offend them.
In school, I could say that I am just an average person. I am kind and friendly
towards my classmates. And whenever they need something, I will always help them as much
as I can but not to the point that they will just take advantage of me. I am also intuitive which
helps me to feel if someone is already manipulating or taking advantage on me. Also, I am most
likely to be the shy type and observant person. I tend to observe first the atmosphere or the
surroundings before I make an action. But it’s the opposite when it comes to my friends. I am
talkative, reliable and caring when I am with them. And most of all, I become more open and I
am able to show the personality that I’ve never showed to others.
Furthermore, I once dreamed of working while studying but I am not sure if I can
balance my studies and work. I didn’t pursue it because I still have other responsibility to be
done from time to time. That is why whenever I heard someone who’s a working student, I feel
so amazed by them since not all of us are capable of doing that. In addition, when it comes to
my goals and dreams in life, I make sure that I will never give up easily in achieving them. No
matter how many times I fail I’ll do it again and again until I finally succeeded. Although there
are times that I need to consider practicality because not all the times you can get what you
want. As long I don’t give up right away and continue to believe in God then there’s nothing to
be worried about. Now, I am currently studying at UCLM taking the course that I want. And I
hope to continue exploring this new chapter in my life as a college student.
