The performance evaluation in content categories highlights areas of weakness that might necessitate re-sitting the exam. If a candidate consistently underperforms in categories with substantial weight in the overall scoring, retaking that part of the exam may be advisable to enhance their certification standing and professional credibility .

Figure 1 helps candidates identify their strengths and weaknesses across different content categories, allowing them to tailor their future study strategies to address areas of improvement. By focusing on weaker categories or those weighed more in scoring, candidates can enhance their preparation efficiency .

Understanding the weighting of content categories is crucial because the total score is calculated by applying different weights to each category, not merely by summing correct answers. Candidates should focus their preparation on higher-weighted categories to optimize their scoring potential. Misunderstanding this can lead to an inefficient allocation of study time and resources .

Interpreting examination results based on a small number of questions can lead to skewed perceptions of a candidate's strengths and weaknesses. Such results may not accurately reflect a candidate's knowledge due to statistical variability. Consequently, this may affect subsequent study plans and perceptions of readiness, potentially leading to inadequate preparation for heavily weighted or overlooked areas .

AWS's Qualification and Certification documents provide the total number of questions for each content category in the exam, thereby helping candidates understand the exam structure. This information is essential for effectively allocating study time and understanding the significance of each category within the overall exam scoring .

Candidates should interpret their performance in content categories as an account of their relative strengths and weaknesses. However, it is important to exercise caution because some categories have a low number of questions, which can skew interpretations. Additionally, the scores should not be used for recalculation purposes since different weights are applied to content categories when calculating the total score .

The minimum score required to pass each part of the AWS CWI certification exam is 72%. The average score is calculated as the simple average of all three parts, rounded to the nearest whole number .

A high score in one part of the exam but a low score in another indicates uneven mastery of the covered topics. Candidates should focus on improving their knowledge and skills in weaker areas to ensure a balanced competence across all parts of the certification requirements. This can enhance their overall professional expertise and confidence when applying skills in real-world scenarios .

The certification process emphasizes candidate responsibility by requiring them to contact AWS if they do not receive their certification credentials within the specified time. This accountability ensures that candidates actively manage their professional qualifications and maintains the integrity of the certification process .

Candidates are responsible for contacting AWS if they have not received their credentials within 90 days of receiving the exam results notification. After 90 days, they may incur additional charges to order a duplicate .
