Task:

This should give you an overview of each task. Instructions for


each part of your mission are included later on. Each part should
be completed thoughtfully. This project will be graded as your final
assessment in this class and should be completed over the course
of five entire class periods.

Overview of Your Mission

Your five part mission when you choose to accept it is to:

1. Use the internet to search for answers to questions on the


Introduction Into Impressionism worksheet. These
questions will help to introduce you to the basics of
Impressionist art.

2. Watch a short video about impressionism and compete the


questions that follow.

3. Choose an impressionist painting to analyze using the


formal elements and principles of design. (A list of
paintings and complete instructions are included)

4. Pick an Impressionist painter from the list of


Impressionists and write a short biography highlighting
their accomplishments (a detailed “how to” is included in
the next step).

5. Find a photograph of an everyday object, landscape, animal


or basic design online. You will use it to follow instructions
on how to construct an impressionist art work of your own.
