Slotted Link Quick Return Mechanism

The hydraulic quick return mechanism uses a hydraulic cylinder and piston to reciprocate an arm. A lever is connected to the piston and arm such that when fluid pressure is applied to one side of the piston, it moves the arm in one direction for the cutting stroke. To return the arm to the initial position, fluid pressure is applied to the opposite side of the piston, moving the arm in the reverse direction for the return stroke. This mechanism allows for uniform speed during both strokes, improving productivity over other linear motion mechanisms.
