1. Based on your reading, what can you say about the article representation of value the role
of youth in the development and future of society?

Our great Hero Dr. Jose Rizal said that the youth is the hope of our nation which is the
topic of the article “Youth of Today: The New Rizals”. With regards to the article the youth really
plays a big part in the development and future of our society, here it mentioned that the youth is
the new Rizals because like Jose Rizal the youth can make a big change on how our future will
turned out because at some point the youth will be the one who will lead and work for our society.

2. What is the main question that the article seeks to answer?

The main question that the article seeks to answer is how the youth can be hope of our
nation and how can they be the new Rizal. In the article is stated the characteristic of Rizal and
how he changed our society and those characteristic should be the characteristic that the youth
should possess in order for them prosper and succeed in the future, not just for them but also for
our country.

3. What is your own reflection based on the article and your understanding.

The famous quote “ The youth is the hope of our nation” might sound cliché but in reality it
is true because the leader we have today are once as we called them the youth, they achieved that
position because they were inspired but people the people around them by Jose Rizal. They also
possess the characteristic of a leader just like Rizal which they enhanced through years by
studying and constantly learning not just in school but in life. So yes, the youth is the hope of
nation because in few years’ time they are the one who will lead and run this country. It is up to
them to create a future for themselves and for us.
