CHAPTER III

METHODOLOGY

The chapter presents the description of the research design, research locale, sampling
procedure, research instrument, data gathering procedure and the statistical treatment of the
data.

Research Design

The researchers will be using Descriptive- survey method because it is the appropriate in
finding, collecting and obtaining data gather since the study is concerned with the present
status of how broad is the level of Knowledge and practices of hand washing among barangay
health workers.
This study will be using quantitative research method. Quantitative data- gathering
instruments aims to assess a give variable. When these methods are used, the researchers are
usually detached from the study and the final output is context free.

Research Locale

This study will conduct at Biwas barangay hall., located in Biwas, Tanza, Cavite.

Sampling Procedure

The researches choose the Health workers of Brgy. Biwas as the respondents of this
study. This is a barangay that can we find here in Tanza, we chose these because this is the
barangay that very active and it is near at the researchers. The total population of barangay
biwas is 7, 442 and there are 23 health workers here. The researches will use purposive
sampling techniques-total enumeration to examine the entire population of health workers in
the said barangay.

Research Instrument

The study will conduct by using of adapted survey questionnaires as the primary
instrument of this research. The questions are structured by stating the right questions for the
respondents to easily understand the [Link] questions were constructed in a form of
categorical questions.
Data Gathering Procedure

The researchers will be using categorical questionnaire. The questionnaire served as a


permission for the researchers to conduct the study. In order to conduct the research, the
researchers distributed categorical questionnaire to the respondents. Their responses will be
anonymous and they have the rights not to take part anytime if they aren’t comfortable with it.
After answering the questionnaire, the researchers will analyze and tallied the result of
responses before proceeding with the statistical treatment of the data.
