Module Title: The Kinds of Quantitative Research

1. What have you learned today?

I learned that there's different kinds of quantitative research. The first one is descriptive research is a type of
research that describes the population, condition, or phenomena under research. If there is a study problem, it
depends on addressing the how, when, why, and where questions rather than the why. Second, correlational
research is a non-experimental research approach in which a researcher tests two variables, understands and
assesses the statistical interaction between them, with no input from any other variable. Third, Evaluation
analysis, also known as program evaluation, refers to the goal of the research rather than a particular process. The
systematic assessment of the value or merit of time, money, commitment, and energy expended to accomplish an
objective is known as evaluation analysis. Fourth, A survey research is used to obtain data from groups of
individuals by selecting and studying samples taken from the population. It can be done in a variety of ways,
including face-to-face, phone, mail, and online. It is a research method that collects data from a predefined group of
respondents in order to gather knowledge and observations into a variety of topics of interest. They can serve many
functions, and researchers can carry them out in a variety of ways based on the methods used and the aim of the
study. In the year 2020, research will be very important, so it is important that we consider the advantages of social
research with a target demographic using the appropriate survey instrument. Fifth, in causal-comparative
research, the researcher compares two or more sets of people to examine the influence of an independent variable
on a dependent variable. In comparison to correlational research, both experimental and causal-comparative
research usually equate two or more classes of subjects. Sixth, A study that specifically adheres to a theoretical
research design is known as experimental research. It consists of a theory, a variable that the researcher can
control, and variables that can be evaluated, estimated, and compared. Most notably, laboratory testing is carried
out in a controlled environment.

2. Do you find the lesson easy or difficult? Why?

I find the lesson just right. It is easy to understand but sometimes it is confusing.
