Narrator: Venisse
CPR steps: Dylan wearing rash guard w/ pillow wearing rash guard
CPR review: All members wear NSG shirt w/ pillow wearing PE shirt

Script
INTRO
Narrator: What would you do as a student nurse if you are swimming with a friend and
he or she suddenly turns unconscious?
Narrator: The first thing to do is to pull your friend out of the pool and place in a supine
position.

CPR ROLEPLAY
Narrator: Quickly check responsiveness to see if the person is breathing by placing your
ear near the mouth.
Narrator: If unresponsive, ask someone to call 911 and immediately perform hands-only
CPR.
Narrator: Remove shirt, put the heel of one hand at the middle of the chest, intertwine
fingers, put shoulders over your wrists, and lock elbows.
Narrator: Push hard (at least 2 inch (5 cm) and fast (100-120 compressions per min)
and allow complete chest recoil.
Narrator: Minimize interruptions in compressions.
Narrator: To ensure you are fast enough, remember the song Staying Alive by Bee
Gees.

Narrator: Let us review the steps on how to perform Hands-Only CPR. You can
