FINDINGS
It is found that 50% response belongs to the age group 20~25 years.
26.47% belongs to 26~30 years. 13.24% belongs to 31~35 years . 8.82%
belongs to 36~40 years and the rest belongs to above 41 years.
It is found that 60.83% response belongs to male the rest 39.17% belongs
to Female.
Higher percentage 59.17% was salaried employee and the least 2.50% are
others on Profession and the second least 12.5% are student.
It is observed that 86.67% response have own vehicle the rest 13.33%
couldn’t own any vehicle.
It is shows that 39.17% Owned 2 wheeler, 35.83% owned Passenger car
SUV (Sports utility Vehicle). 20% owned Sedan type passenger car. And
the least 5% owned other type of vehicle
It is shows that 85.83% travel by Own transport and the least 4.17% use
public transportation.
It is shows that most of people likely to prefer mixed way of travel
therefore 47.50% like both Highway and City travel and least 15% people
like highway travel.
It is noted that the higher percentage of response (89.17%) know about
EV and the rest Couldn’t know about the subject.
It is know that higher percentage (23.33%) came to know about EV from
other source and least percentage was live demo (2.5%)
It is shows that higher percentage (80%) would like to convert or own EV
and the other cant (20%)
It is noted that higher (45.83%) percentage would expect cost 3~5 lacs.
And least 0.83% expect above 15lacs.
It is noted that higher (32.50%) would expect less cost to buy EV. and
least 6.67% difficult to setup charging point.
It is noted that higher (91.67%) would accepted as petroleum product
import will be reduced once implemented EV and least (8.33%) not
agreed.
It is noted that higher (93.33%) would accepted that EV implementation
is right decision to India and the least (6.67%) not agreed.
It is observed that higher (87.50%) would accepted that EV that EV is
safer than current market Gasoline vehicle and the least (12.50%) not
agreed.
The higher (36.67%) would expect 30% subsidy of EV cost for faster
implementation and the least (14.17%) would expect 40% and above
It is noted that the higher percentage of response (62.50%) paying 10%
of premium amount for infrastructure and the least percentage (5.00%)
would pay 30% of premium amount.
It is observed that the higher percentage of response (61.67%) would
benefits of fast charging.
It is noted that the higher percentage of response (50.00%) as major
factor for fast implementation of EV is Infrastructure.
It is a fact that higher (77.50%) would recommend and the least (22.50%)
not agreed.
Noted that higher (92.50%) would response as EV reduce pollution and
the least (7.50%) not agreed
Observed that higher (77.50%) would response as NO for production of
electricity will increase pollution and the least (22.50%) agreed it create
pollution.
It is noted that higher (91.67%) would response as recommend to friends
and the least (8.33%) couldn’t recommend.
CONCLUSION
Thus the study was conducted to know the challenges involved on
Electric vehicle in Industry (Renault India Pvt. Ltd) to know the fact barrier of
EV implementation with industry people. The study has been able to
accomplish its objective, by thoroughly analyzing and identifying the electric
vehicle challenges in Renault India Pvt. Ltd. Therefore the weakness and
strengths of electric vehicle came to know among the customers and the
company would like to work on the weakness like cost factor how to reduce on
production cost to overcome the huge cost of EV. Thus the company may
highly be benefited by the outcome of this study
The outcome of the study proved that Electric vehicle cost factor play
major role among the customer. Thus Renault India Pvt. Ltd. like to focus to
reduce vehicle cost. Thus by reducing the production cost and product cost of
components.
It is concluded that the company could initiate various steps based on the
study given report. The company could adopt it some of the recommendations,
if not all, can further improve its performance over Electric vehicle to attract the
customer and cover market in future years.
