What I have understood during the lecture of reading course :
1. There are two techniques in speed reading, namely skimming and scanning.
2. We don't need to know the meaning of every word when reading English text, the most
important thing is knowing the meaning of a sentence.
3. Punctuation must be considered when reading
4. It is important to be able to distinguish the types of sentences in the reading, both main
sentences and supporting sentences
5. It is also important to know the types of paragraphs, namely opening paragraphs, body
paragraphs, and closing paragraphs
6. When reading a paragraph, we must know the main point of the paragraph. A quick way
to find out the main point of a paragraph is to read the first sentence and the last sentence
7. Must be able to draw conclusions at the end of a reading
