Chapter 2: Key Concepts of Corporate Communication.

 Corporate Identity:
 Meaning:
It is the character and image of an organization, reflecting the culture that is
presented to the public, including the organization’s name and logo or how a
particular business is perceived by its customers and rest of the marketplace.

 Definition:
Corporate identity is the total of visual and non-visual means applied by a company
to present itself to all its relevant target groups on the basis of corporate identity.

 Features:
1.) Intangible qualities.
2.) Tangible qualities.
3.) Symbolism.
4.) Communication.
5.) Behavior.
6.) Types.
7.) Elements.

 Corporate Image:
 Derived from Latin word ‘imago’ which means ‘to imitate’.
 The impression of an organization in the minds of the people based on knowledge of
its activities and experience of its behavior.

 Corporate Reputation:
 Reputation is the sum total of the co-operation’s daily actions and it will determine
whether recruits will join, consumers will buy, and journalists and legislators will give
the benefit of doubt.
