DETAILS: The city is protected from extreme weather conditions by the hills of the Sierra Madre and
the mountains of the Bataan Peninsula. The weather in Manila, the Philippines' capital, may be split into
three seasons: a mild, dry season from December to February, followed by a hot, dry summer season from
March to May, and finally a soaking-wet rainy season from June to November.
