Drishyantar

Samayantar would like to host the seventh edition of Drishyantar - our annual theatre festival
under the aegis of “YUVAAN” the cultural fest of our college. The event allows productions
from theatre societies from all over Delhi to showcase their plays for the college audience
and compete for many titles and various other prizes.

Event organisers- Samayantar-The Hindi Theatre society of MAC
Event details:

1. This time we propose to conduct two events. One being the mono-act competition, the
other being the full production. Both the events will be carried forward in 2 rounds,
one of which will be conducted in online mode, while the latter or the finale will be
conducted in offline mode in the college itself.

MONO-ACT
• Preliminary Round- All the participants must fill out a google form online
including all the details of their mono-act (Script, prelim video, +1 person to assist
with lights and music, etc.). The participants those who have registered with us
will then be judged on the basis of prelim video from which top 5 participants will
be qualified for the final round.

• Final round- The final round shall be held during YUVAAN. The Qualified
participants shall then perform their entire piece of mono act for the judges and
the audience. The judges shall then award Cash prizes and certificates for – Best
Actor and Runner up (to be conducted in offline mode).

FULL PRODUCTION
• Preliminary Round- All the teams must fill out a google form online including all
the details of their plays (Script, synopsis, prelim video, etc.). The teams that have
registered with us will then be judged on the basis of prelim video from which top
6 teams will be qualified for the final round.

• Final round- The final round shall be held during [Link] Qualified
teams shall perform their entire play for the judges and the audience. The judges
shall then award Cash prizes and certificates for – Best production, Runner up and
the Best actor ( to be conducted in offline mode).

2. Judges will be invited for the final round only, to be held during Yuvaan.
3. Final round will be held inside the college auditorium. We shall also require the green
rooms and Audi lobby to be used by the teams prior to their performance. Also the
changing room area in the green room will be required by the participants of different
colleges participating in the event.
4. All the lights and sound systems will be used for the final round.
5. All the teams and participants qualified for the finals will be awarded participation
certificates.

General COVID 19 SOPs to be followed :-


1. No participant will be allowed to enter the college without a mask.
2. No participant will be allowed to enter the college without a sanitizer.
3. The event will be carried out keeping in mind all the norms and guidelines of social
distancing.
4. For the full production, this time only 15 participants from each team will be allowed
due to COVID 19.
5. A list of all the COVID 19 protocols is also attached to this, which will be followed
with utmost responsibility during our events.
6. Stage will must be thoroughly sanitized before and after each usage.
7. Thermal screening of all participants will be carried out at the entrance (if
provided by the college). Only asymptomatic individuals will be allowed
to enter the premises.
8. Provisions for hand sanitization will be made available at the entrance, in
the wings, and in the green room (if provided by the college).
