There was a decline in the car counts in race car competition in North America

due to the costs and high maintenance requirements. To address this, smaller tracks that featured

relatively cheaper cars with less maintenance requirements were launched by the US Legend

Cars International, Inc. in January 1992. In April 1992, the first Legend Car was introduced and

had continued to become a part of motorsports (U.S. Legend Cars International, n.d.).

Among the recent major highlights in US Legend Cars are as follows: the 2015

Season for U.S. Legend Cars had been completed and the top 10 champions per division was

announced, Atlanta Motor Speedway hosted its 18th U.S. Legends racing, a Million Dollar race

at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and the Upcoming 2016 Season. The World Finals that occur

every November in the USA feature Legend Cars from other countries.

(shortened). US Legend Cars allow participants as young as 12 years old to race. Moreover, four

divisions had been devised to accommodate the different type of participants. The Young Lions

Division feature drivers from 12 to 16 years old. The Semi-Pro Division features new drivers.

The Masters Division features older drivers (40 years old above). Then the Pro Division features

more experienced drivers.

U.S. Legend Cars were intended to be a family-friendly sports. Thus, it caters to

people of all ages. Moreover, audiences of the sport are said to be from across the States. It is

also expected that the sport will gain more attention and exposure in the international scene since

it was internationally sanctioned.

INEX, Corp had sanctioned Legend Cars to allow anyone, regardless of their

experience to compete at a relatively affordable price range. The Legend Cars have been part of

the motorsports scene and continues to advance a sport that is “family-oriented” To boost the

sports, INEX Edition Federal will purchase local US legend car dealers in order to centralize the

manufacture of legend cars and promote it across states. Many drivers from NASCAR participate

and make their way on top of this sport. Many countries including Scotland, UK, Mexico,

Georgia, and Australia had also adapted Legend Cars to their own modifications (Federal, n.d.).

Thus, this sports had also allowed cooperation between countries.
