“Classification” means to assort items of a given group on the basis of a certain common quality
they possess and then spot the stranger or odd one out.
In this case, you are given a group of certain items, out of which all except one are similar to one
another in some manner; you should choose this one item that does not fit into the given group.
➢ Type 1: CHOOSING THE ODD WORD BASED ON GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
In this type, you are given a bunch of words you have to pick out the correct one.

Q) Choose the word which is least like the other words in the group.
1. Tiger.
2. Lion.
3. Leopard.
4. Cow.
Ans: 4
Solution:
In this group of words, all animals are carnivorous but cow is herbivorous.

➢ Type 2: CHOOSING THE ODD PAIR OF WORDS based on general knowledge
In this type of questions, certain pairs of words are given out of which the words in all the pairs ex-
cept one carry a certain relationship, the students should have to find out that one by differentiat-
ing the relationship of the given words.

that one by differentiating the relationship of the given numbers.

In this type of question, the students are given some odd letters then you have to find out which is

Clearly, all the groups consist of two alternate letters in order, while in the group they are in re-

➢ Type 5: CHOOSING THE ODD PAIR OF WORD BASED ON SYNONYMS AND ANTONYMS.
In this type of question, you have given some pair of words that have some meaning (synonyms and
antonyms)from there you have to choose the correct answer.
