NARRATIVE REPORT ON
SLAC SESSION ON CLASSROOM OBSERVATION

For making teaching and learning more visible, classroom observation plays a
central role. It provides teachers with constructive critical feedback in order to improve their
classroom management and instructional techniques. For teachers it is important to observe the
interaction between teacher-learner within the classroom because it can determine the learning
opportunities that students get.

It was started in a form of simple program to formally open and welcome all the
teachers by our PSDS and School Principal. During the opening program our school head
Maam Josephine Magas reiterated the importance of having demo teaching not just because for
the IPCRF but also even to practice teaching even for this moment wherein the teachers will
serve as the pupils. Mr. Jose N. Mercadero, our PSDS greeted us and sent his love for the
teachers. For in him, teachers are heroes especially now that we are facing difficulties not just in
terms of teaching the pupils but also as our health is in danger.

On its first day the demo teachers were all ready and prepared. The schedule
was followed and several teachers used ICT Integration which motivated everyone to participate
well in the discussion. Different subject areas were observed and as to the discussion different
techniques also were presented in order to gain pupils’ participation. The teachers created more
