Abstract
Research on the academic performance of student on the different learning delivery
modality is becoming the focus of the present researches brought by changes in the current set
-up on the teaching-learning process. Accordingly, this study investigates the academic
performance in distance learning modality of selected grade 11 students of Angeles City
National Trade School for the school year 2020-2021. The study determines what is the chosen
learning delivery modality of the students and which of it results to better academic performance.
The study uses a quantitative-descriptive research approach. Fifty-four (54) students are selected
to answer a questionnaire using google form consisting of five parts created by the researchers.
The respondents are from the 783 Grade 11 students of Angeles City National Trade School.
Results of data analysis shows that 61.1% of the respondents are female while 35.2 % are
male most are 17 years old. It also reveals digital module is the most preferred distance learning
modality and most of the respondents using digital module learning performs outstanding with
their academics for the first semester. It also shows that students’ performance is also affected by
several factors like time management, working students, family support and personal problems.
Furthermore, the result of the study suggest that the students must choose a type of
modality that fits their availability of time and resources and that they must find time to answer
their Learning Activity Sheets. In addition, it is advisable for the teachers and school
administrators to give time considerations to those who are working students.
