Instructions: Write an essay based off one of the prompts below.

Make sure to use MLA


format. Include two sources (the novel and one additional source). When citing these sources
make sure to introduce them. The essay should begin with a solid thesis, have an introduction,
three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph should contain a minimum of five
complete sentences.

1. Write about the themes found in The Great Gatsby and how they have an impact on the
novel.
2. Write about the symbols found in The Great Gatsby and how they have an impact on
the novel.
3. Write about three interesting scenes within The Great Gatsby and how the impacted the
storyline.
