Scoping

Scoping is done to identify which potential impacts are relevant to asses (based on
legislative requirements, international conventions, expert knowledge and public
involvement.

The project covered all the contents of a Project Brief. A description of the
project, an analysis of alternatives that were considered, a description of the
biophysical and socio-economic conditions of the area, a description of policy and
legal requirements of the project, an outline of issues and concerns of
stakeholders, an assessment of all possible impacts of the project; and alternative
approaches or mitigation measures that have been developed in order to avoid,
minimize, remedy or compensate for the potential negative impacts and enhance
the potential benefits of the project.
