Hi everyone, I am Amani Alnaimi, starting my presentation by defining the globalization briefly from its
history.

Globalization is all about trade that includes production, Foreign direct investments (FDI’s), loans,
import exports, cultural links, transportation and so on. If in case anyhow trade collapse in world lets
suppose due to COVID-19 wreak havoc and countries start to produce their own majority of the
products, then it will highly impact globalization and ultimately trade.
It all started from the same country which these days is called factory of the world where every product
is being produced that is China. In 1 st century China started its famous silk road to trade with Europe.
Europe has always been the desired market for all sellers.
But like everything in the world globalization also comes with some cost and that are its cons which
majorly impacts developing nations. And you know there are more developing nations in the world then
developed nations, so the issues are also higher than benefits.
One best thing globalization brought with itself is it stopped wars like it were in older times because of
interdependence and complex network of allies.

As my essay is related to highlight the negative points of globalization so here, I have defined the
adversities of globalization. The first I highlighted that was important to me is over consumption of
resources.
As population is increasing with an explosive rate, so for their survival there is over consumption of
natural resources which includes mining of fossil fuels (there is near time when we run out of fossil
fuels). Overfishing already heavy metals and chemicals have reduced the reproduction of aquatic species
and our overfishing will lead them to extinction. Use of wood, metal, and chemicals as I earlier said.
Inequal over consumption has created dearth and hunger in poor countries. Everyday new diseases are
being discovered just because of this globalization.
Deforestation is the key reason which can solve almost all problems but here it is an adversity that due
to urban sprawl and industrialization, unfortunately, forests are cut daily, and we are losing oxygen and
balanced eco system. Because of this deforestation we face floods, Less honey, silk, land sliding,
wildfires, droughts etc. One forest bears 100s of species but when it is cut, the whole food chain and
natural order get disturbed.
Global warming is another twisted name of pollutions in air, soil, and water. Heavy industrialization has
been producing the waste material in the forms of Green house gases, chemicals that leach in water and
soil. These gases trap the sunlight on the surface of earth which cause global warming results in increase
in temperatures and melting of glaciers etc.
Although conventional and cold wars have reduced in this century, but trade war has arisen from the
ashes because China and USA have maneuvered whole world with its products, trade, and loans traps.
Both countries are eager to give various countries which serve their interest and if they cannot pay, they
confiscate their assets and use it for their own interest.

Conclusion
There are more negative impacts than positive once’s on the world. Negative incudes heavy usage of
plastic bags which is harming not only humans and animals but also the aquatic life. Dumping of plastic
and chemicals has reduced the efficiency of soil, purity of environment and water. It also increased the
rate of different diseases among living organisms.

Recommendations
Renewable energy sources are always helpful to reduce the negative impact of globalization.
Similarly, forestation is a fit for all solution which cope natural disasters as well as save living organisms
and maintain food chain and eco system.
Chemicals and plastics should be dumped in landfills which should be miles away from any city or
population.
In this way Globalization can be more production for all.
