1. Area on the bottom of reformer to be roped off and warning signs hung to keep unauthorized
personnel out.
2. The test to be conducted when the least number of employees are around.
3. List of employees involved in the test are to be listed below and on the work permit.
4. A large volume of air is to be used during the test and everyone is to use extreme caution during
the test.
5. All drains and vents are to be closed.
6. All blinds are to be installed as per attached.
7. Compressed air is to be connected to the 3/4" fill connection.
8. The system is to be initially pressured to 25 PSIG and all piping checked for leaks.
9. The system pressure is to be raised in no more than 10 PSIG increments to 100 PSIG. Allow the
system pressure time to stabilize between increases.
10. The test pressure is to be held for a minimum of ten (10) minutes.
11. All welded joints are to be checked with the soap bubble method at a pressure of 5 PSIG.
12. If repairs are required, steps 4 - 8 are to be repeated.
13. The test pressure is to be gradually reduced through the drains.
