Activity 1
Preparation of Syllabus

1. Select an English course/subject you have taken before.

2. Get the subject description of it through online search or you may request it from the registrar.

3. Decide for the topics to be included in order to achieve the competencies in the description.

4. Think of the appropriate activities and assessment methods you would give for each topic to evaluate
the learnings of the students

5. Plan the schedule of of teaching and learning encounter for 18 weeks (54hrs) which is equivalent to
one semester. Plan the topics coverage for each quarter. (Prelim, Midterm, Prefinal, Final)

6. Think of the final culminating activities which can be done by the students that would summarize the
course.

7. Design your own tabular presentation of the syllabus.
