ACTIVITY 02: THE ACQUISITION REPORTS

Listed below are the basic questions that managers ask about the Acquisition Reports in Google
Analytics. Your tasked is to answer them using the property (Google Merchandise Store) from
the period January 1, 2020- December 31, 2020.

Answer should be composed of the following:


1. Screenshot of the dashboard/GA with your profile details (pic) visible at the top right
corner of the browser.

2. A narrative below the screenshot describing your answer on the questions.


Top channels

Top Channels details how visitors arrived at the site. With 224,316 users, organic search
is the most common method of entry. These are visitors who found the website via [Link]
or other search engines. With 211,394 users, direct visitors come to the website without a
traceable referral source. Referral comes in second with 55,225 votes, followed by show with
21,409. Other sources, which are unlisted and have 20,061 users, are ranked fifth. Trough social
is third to last, followed by affiliates, and finally paid search, which has just 13,607 users.
Queries

Users used various keywords in order for them to be able to locate the web. YouTube
merch is the most common key term, with 9,203 searches, followed by youtube merchandise
with 8,555. Dino game is ranked third with 7,284 points. The Google merchandise store comes
in second with 6,841, followed by Google t-shirts with 5,111, dinosaur game with 4,197, youtube
store with 3,677, and finally youtube shop with 3,418. Google stickers are second to last with
2,637, and Google clothing is last with 2,637.
All Campaigns

There are several promotions planned for the year 2020, but this report will only focus on
the top ten most successful. BMM | Txt AW - Tumbler comes in at number ten, with 314 users
participating. MIX | Txt AW - T-shirts comes in second with 336 users, followed by EXA | Txt
AW - Hoodies (set 0) with 382. With 488 users, MIX | Txt AW - T-shirts (set 0) is ranked
seventh, and EXA | Txt AW – Hoodies is ranked sixth. MIX | Txt AW – Apparel is fifth with
761 users, MIX | Txt AW – YouTube is seventh with 1,422 users, and BMM | Txt AW –
Hoodies is third with 2,708 users. MIX | Txt AW-Brand (US/Cali) comes in second with 4,758.
The most popular campaign is Data Share Promo, which has 16,919 users, accounting for more
than half of all users who participated in the 2020 campaigns.
