high data rates. High data rates and capacity can be produce
by Multiple Input Multiple Output(MIMO) systems. This
paper mainly focused on MIMO systems because the MIMO
systems have multiple number of antennas in transmitting
and receiving end which can produce more data rates and
capacity compared to SISO, SIMO, MISO systems. The
multiple antennas allow MIMO systems to produce
multiplexing gain and diversity gain. The capacity of MIMO
systems will be increased by increased the number of
antennas in transmitter and receiver end.

transmit power and more spectral bandwidth over other
antenna system to increase its channel capacity.

The channel capacity will not be increased but the multiple

antenna give rise to a strong signal by the help of diversity.
The channel capacity of SIMO system will be :

CSIMO = MrBlog2(1+S/N) (2)

Where channel capacity expressed by C, bandwidth of the

signal expressed by B, signal to noise ratio expressed by S/N
and Mr is the number of receiving antenna.

C- MULTIPLE INPUT SINGLE OUTPUT SYSTEM(MISO)

MISO antenna systems uses more number of antenna in the
transmitter or input side and single antenna in the receiver or Fig 4: MIMO model
output side. Here we have two fading channel coefficient h1
and h2 which have different in nature. Transmit signal express MIMO channel capacity:
by Y1 and Y2. To increase capacity and keeping bandwidth and transmitting
power same put more antennas at the transmitter and receiver
side. The Rayleigh model which is the random channel has
been used. A complex matrix that has identically independent
distributed entries with unit variance and zero mean is used to
approximate a channel in the frequency domain [4].
The capacity of MIMO system will be given by:
CMIMO = Mt Mr Blog2(1+S/N) (4)

Where channel capacity expressed by C, bandwidth of the

signal expressed by B, signal to noise ratio expressed by S/N
and Mt and Mr will be respective numbers of transmit and
receive antenna.

Fig 3: MISO Model

III. RESULTS & DISSCUSION
The capacity of the channel can not be more so much because 1. Capacity of SISO system
at a time the system transmit only 2 numbers of signal.
The MISO capacity will be:
CMISO = MtBlog2(1+S/N) (3)
Where channel capacity expressed by C, bandwidth of the
signal expressed by B, signal to noise ratio expressed by S/N
and Mt is the number of transmitting antenna.

D- MULTIPLE INPUT MULTIPLE OUTPUT SYSTEM(MIMO)

MIMO antenna system uses more number of antennas in
both the sides. For a single user the use of multiple antennas in
transmitter and receiver side have more capacity and high data
rates.

The MIMO signal model defines as:

R= Hx+n
Fig 5: Capacity of SISO system
Where R is the received signal vector
x is the transmitted signal vector In the above figure we have obtained the capacity vs SNR
n is the complex additive white Gaussian noise plot for SISO system by taking single antenna in transmitter
H is the channel matrix and receiver [Link] channel capacity of SISO will be poor but
system design will be easy to 2G systems.

Fig 6: Capacity comparison between SIMO & MISO system

In the above figure we gave the capacity comparison

between SIMO and MISO system. The capacity of SIMO Fig 8: Capacity comparison between SISO, SIMO,
system will be better than of MISO system because of more MISO & MIMO system
number of antennas present in the receiver end.
From the above results it is conclude that the capacity of
MIMO system will be best among the other systems. SISO
3. Capacity of MIMO system system will have least capacity [1]. So it is obtained that when
SNR will be high, the capacity will be increased one-
dimensional. The capacity will be increased more when
antenna number at the transmitter side and receiver side will be
increased [8].

Performances of all antenna systems will be understood
properly from the paper. MIMO antenna system have more
capacity and high data rates as compared to other antenna
systems because the presence of more number of antennas.
MIMO system will be used in 4G, LTE, etc. when SNR will be
high, the capacity will be increased one-dimensional. The
capacity will be increased more when antenna number at the
transmitter side and receiver side will be increased.
