SUMMER VACATION HOLIDAY HOME WORK / CLASS- II

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The Assignment (Holiday Home Work) is divided into section -``A” & section -``B”.
2. Both the sections need to be completed as they are part of Periodic Assessment (Internal
Assessment). Marks of section -A, will be added into Subject Enrichment Activities (SEA) and
marks of Section-B, will be added into Note Book Assessment (05+ 05 Marks).
3. Section – A, is Art Integrated Project (AIP) and Section – B, is part of Note Book upkeeping as
per CBSE guidelines of Periodic Assessment. Marks gained would be added in all the main
subjects, as it is an Integrated Assignment.
4. AS per given instructions child, need to complete the Assignment.
5. It is mandatory to complete both the sections as ``Internal Assessment” (Periodic
Assessment). Hence, during the vacation must complete the given task.

(SECTION- A / AIP)
( a. )- With the help of your parent/guardian, take a virtual/ digital visit to – two rural and two
urban school of Chhattisgarh. Based on your digital/virtual observation of schools, prepare a
colourful wall poster/ a collage by providing this information:
i. Name of schools you visited, virtually /digitally
ii. picture / drawing of school campus
iii. various facilities available in school to impart quality Education.
iv. Through your drawing/picture; depict/show the number of desks, table, black board,
chair, soft board, smart board (if available) in a class room.
v. Did you observe washroom facility, play- ground, library, Multi - Purpose Lab and garden in
school campus? Illustrate your collage with these facilities that you observed in virtual walk.
N.B- After drawing the above facilities available / pasting the picture of above facilities
(whatever you observed), do write in brief below your drawing of campus of school, about
these facilities that you observed and properly label your drawing / collage as well.

(SECTION- B / Leisure Time Activity/ Note Book)

(a.)- Till May 1st,2021, whichever chapters have been completed as per syllabus, do complete
the Text Book Exercise of those chapters in Text Book itself.
(b.)- In your Note Books (Subject wise), Write down all the questions and answers, uploaded on
the school website as study materials for the month of April and May- 2021-22.
(c)- In your Maths Note Book, write down Tables up to 08, both in words and in figure (digit)
and learn it too.
(d.)- Take three practice note books (One for Hindi, another for English and last one for
Gujarati). In these practice note books, you write in Neat Handwriting, one page writing each
day. At the top left corner of your note book on each page, must mention the date.
(N.B- Each and every day, during your vacation, you show this handwriting practice done by
you to your parent or any elder member of your family and get their signature at the bottom
with date.)
(e.)- MASK UP INDIA: With the help of your elder member in family or with the help of parent,
make Two face mask for yourself. You should use cotton clothes for this.
(Hints: Elder member or parent can stich it for you after teaching you the basic of cutting
clothes in a particular shape. You can do these practices of cuttings on a rough paper sheet.)
(f.)-MY COOL GREEN CORNER: Take 4 to 5 tubs or old containers, with the help of any elder
member in your family; prepare mixture of soil and compost and mix it properly then do the
following to prepare Cool Green Corner in your terrace/ balcony/ garden:
i. Procure some flowering or show plants from your nearby nursery or you can sow some
seeds and prepare your own saplings.
ii. Now, ensure that one/two holes are done on the base of your tub/ container before you pour
the mixture of soil and compost.
iii. Now, plant those saplings inside these containers/ tubs and press the soil properly with
your hands near to the root of plants.
iv. Now, water the plant and don’t touch the plants/saplings for whole day.
v. Next morning, water the plant slowly and must ensure that stem of the plants/saplings are
not being shaken by anyone.
vi. Must ensure that your plants receive proper sunlight.
vii. After one week, again observe the plants and write your observation Report on plants, your
feelings, your experience in a A-4 size sheet in 80-100 words, under the heading:
`` MY COOL GRREN CORNNER, IN SUMMER VACATION``
g. ``MY COVID- KIT/BOX``: As a COVID-19 Warrior, prepare a COVID-KIT/ Box, containing all
the essential things that you need in this pandemic to keep yourself safe and fit.
(Hints: Your Kit must contain – Hand Sanitizer, Face Masks, Soap, Clean Napkin/Small hantowel
etc.)
