1. a) Find the current delivered by the battery. 7

b) By using the concept of supermesh find mesh currents I 1, I2, I3?

b) Using Superposition Therom Find the currents in the 6
 resistor of network shown in figure below.

3. a) Find rms value, average value, peak factor and form factor of half 7
wave rectified wave whose maximum value is 20A.

b) An impendence of (6-j8) is Connected in parallel with an


impedance of (8+j6). The impedance are fed from a 220v, 50 Hz 8
supply. Find current through each branch, total current, total
impedance, total admittance, active power, reactive power, apparent
power and power factor.
4. a) Draw equivalent circuit and phasor diagram of a transformer under 7
loaded condition.
b) A Balance delta-connected load of (3-j3)  per phase is fed by a 8
400v. 3 –phase system. Find line current, phase current, p.f. total
volt-amp, active & reactive power.
5. a) Explain the construction and operating principle of Permanent 8
Magnet Moving Coil Instrument(PMMC Instrument)
b) Bring out analog between electric and magnetic circuit. What are the 7
major points of distances between them?

Explain the significance of open circuit test and short circuit test of a 7
transformer.
6. a) Derive the torque equation of dc machine. 7
b) Explain the armature torque versus armature current, and torque – 8
speed charactertics of dc shut motor.
