Self-Reflection Essay

As my college endeavors come to an end it is time to reflect on my experiences not only

in school but in my professional ventures as well. I have become a well-rounded educated

individual. I have interned at West Charlotte high school and the YMCA. Both of these

internships have aided me in my professional development to ensure that I am ready to begin my

professional career. After college I plan to start at Wake Forest University in the recruiting

department. I will be employed in a temporary position until the bowl season to assist in all

needs that need to be taken care of.

The Sports Management program at Winston Salem State University has taught me

countless objectives that I probably will not be able to address in this essay but will be able to

address in my professional career. Through my professors it has been an honor to be your student

and take your guidance in order to grow into the person I am today. I have learned that it is more

so who you know instead of what you know, and that network is the key to making and impact in

this industry. As a whole we have been taught that not to be on time but to be early because it

shows responsibility and the ability to be counted on and a reliable source.


I want to thank the department for instilling in me the will to make things work and to

ensure that thing are being handled the right way. The knowledge to know how to operate in the

sports world to the best of my ability.
