2nd Year BSED – ENGLISH
Lesson Objectives (From Syllabus)
1. Convey ideas through oral, audio-visual, and/or web-based presentations for
different target audiences in local and global settings using appropriate registers.
2. Adopt awareness of audience and context in presenting ideas.
Expected Output: (From Syllabus)
Oral, audio – visual and/or web-based presentations to promote cultural values (e.g
respect for elders, bayanihan spirit, etc.)

Group work and class discussion on identifying problems with the research presentation
in the video.
1. The class will be divided into 4 groups; each team must have 5 members.
2. This task will enable the students to work in a group, brainstorm ideas and plan
for their steps to achieve and attain the Audio-visual presentation in promoting
cultural values to be presented inside the class.
3. Each group should come-up to a creative audio-visual presentation using the
Communication Aids and Strategies Using Tool of Technology which includes the
presentation of the media; visual and audio media; using technology; and the
strategies using tool of technologies which has been discussed on the previous
meetings.
4. For your reference, the following will be observed and evaluated:
a. Audio-visual presentation will be showed in the class.
b. It should be limited to a 10-minute video and it is expected to follow and
reflect the criteria mentioned above.
5. Team should task someone to do the introductory part before the audio-video
presentation.
6. For other group members, they will be assigned as a technical back-up for
unexpected errors.
Students can use and gather information and techniques through different books and
materials such as; Purposive Communication Book, Oral Communication and Speech
Communication to use appropriate techniques, methods and procedure in making their
audio-video presentation.
The class will be advised to come-up to a suggestions and recommendations based
from the output of the group through sharing and collecting ideas about the criteria and
topics discussed on the previous lessons.
Output of the students will be assessed through this rubric:
1. Presentation of the Audio-video presentation
It is a stand-alone presentation that includes information, presented with
slides, video or digital presentation and includes sound.
2. Visual and audio media
showing a video clip can elicit an emotional response from the audience
sounds, like visual images can stimulate mental images triggering the
imagination and setting mood.
3. Using Computer Technology
a presentation software commonly used in editing videos and audios. It
allows computer users to display information in multimedia presentation.
