CM:

Good afternoon! I am Christine Mae Rodriguez from section 5A and we are here to present the

This therapy is usually used by a group interaction to develop interaction between the
Nurse and the rest of the clients. This therapy brings the clients towards in their “Reality”
where the patient can be aware of the outside events that has been happening, in our
activity we will conduct some which emphasize to boost the client’s awareness,
socialization and lastly self esteem, we will conduct different guidelines through our the
therapy, starting from step 1-5

Step 1- Climate of Acceptance

● Saying something positive towards the client and to other people in the group
For example “Ang ganda mo ngayong araw na ito.”
Step 2- Bridge to the Real world
● This is where we will develop some so called bouncing questions related to the
topic of the session
Step 3- Sharing the World we live in
● This is where the group can ask questions come up of 10-15 questions
Step 4- Appreciation of the work of the World
● This where the props will be used as they relate the conversation.

Step 5- Climate of Appreciation

● This is a closing of session to the positive note and thank each members for
participating.

MONIQUE:

One of the therapeutic values of this is to reach the ‘unwounded’ areas of each patient’s
personality and to get them thinking about reality in relation to themselves. This can also
stimulate their communication, vocational, and social skills, and interest in their environment.
and help clients by promoting self-esteem, awareness, and socialization

These are the mechanics for the therapy.

✔ The clients are set up in a circle of 8-10 people.

✔ The session may last for about 45 minutes

HONEYWELL:

STEP 1: CLIMATE OF ACCEPTANCE. This may last for 5 minutes.

a) Greet the person by his/her name.

Example: “Good morning Pedro.” “Good afternoon Juana”

b) The human touch is socially acceptable

c) Compliment the client

Example:

d) Individually greet each person

REGI:

STEP 2: BRIDGE TO THE REAL WORLD (15 minutes)

a) Normally there are three to four questions in Step II with four possible answers. This
way the answer leads to the next question. The last question in step II leads into the poem
which is objective in nature. (Remember! If a client chooses not to reply or may not know the
answer to the question that is acceptable. If this is the case than thank the individual and
proceed to the next individual asking the same question.)

● Sa umaga, ano yung mga kadalasan ginagawa nyo? Mahiga, manood ng tv o kumain?

- KUMAINNNNN!!!!

● Ahhhh kumain. Ano yung karaniwang kinakain nyo sa umaga? cereal, itlog, bacon, o
oatmeal?

- OATMEEEAAALL!!

● Someone said oatmeal –Ano yung nilalagay mo sa oatmeal: milk, sugar, o prutas?

- PRUTASSSSS!!!

● Someone said fruit – that is our topic today!

b) Start by reading a poem related to the topic. (Poem is read the clients or the clients can
read it aloud to the group.)
Kumain ng masustansyang pagkain

Prutas ay dapat nating kainin

Tulad ng mansanas, pakwan at saging

Mas lalong lulusog, bubuti ang katawan natin

c) Ask questions to encourage participants to recall and share ideas related to topic.

Ask questions about the poem: Sino, ano, bakit etc. (This is to make sure everyone is on the
same page.)

CATHY:

STEP 3: SHARING THE WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE (10 minutes). Let us attempt to move focus to
world as it currently is.

Begin to ask questions related to the topic such as:

● Ano ang paborito mong prutas?
- Mansanasss
- Mansanas din po
- Mansanas
- Saging
● Tuwing kelan ka kumakain ng prutas?
- Tuwing umaga
● Saan nakatago ang inyong prutas?
- Sa refrigerator

BAYA:
STEP 4: APPRECIATION OF THE WORK OF THE WORLD (10 minutes)
Ask questions relate to the topic and work the resident may have engaged in during their life:
● Nagtanim ka na ba ng prutas? Anong prutas ang tinanim mo?
- Opo. Nagtanim po ako ng mangga
● Anong prutas ang karaniwan nyong binibili sa palengke?
- Mansanas
● Magkano ang isang pirasong mansanas?
- 20 pesos ang isa

INGRID:
STEP 5: CLIMATE OF APPRECIATION (5 minutes)

a) Review what has been said
“May nakapagtanim na pala ng prutas dito at ang karaniwan nyong paborito na prutas ay
mansanas pero meron is ana ang paborito ay saging”

b) Comment about how each person participated

“Masaya ako at kayo ay nakilahok”

c) Thank the people for attending and participating

“maraming Salamat na kayo ay dumalo at nakibahagi sa therapy na ito”

d) Tell about plans for next session

“Sa susunod na session ay patungkol naman sa ating kapaligiran. Sa huwebes ulit nang

Remotivation therapy, structured around group activities, sequential questioning, and positive reinforcement, effectively aids in recovering clients' self-esteem by creating environments of acceptance and recognition. Each step encourages participation and offers opportunities for clients to experience recognition and affirmation, which counteracts negative self-perceptions and fosters a sense of worth and capability .

Using poetry in Step 2 of remotivation therapy is effective because it provides a structured, yet creative medium for clients to explore and express thoughts related to the session's topic. Poetry can elicit personal reflections and shared experiences, fostering a deeper cognitive and emotional connection among participants, which aligns with the therapy's goal of expanding reality into the session context .

Step 3: Sharing the World in which We Live is significant in remotivation therapy as it encourages clients to focus on the present world and share their personal preferences and habits. This step promotes social interaction and mutual understanding within the group, furthering their engagement and interest in both the session and their broader environment .

Step 4: Appreciation of the Work of the World helps achieve remotivation therapy objectives by enabling participants to relate to the topic in a tangible way through discussions about their past experiences or interactions with similar contexts. This step fosters a sense of accomplishment and value for their contributions, enhancing self-esteem and promoting a positive view of their roles in society .

Group interaction is crucial in remotivation therapy as it allows clients to learn from each other’s experiences and insights, enhancing their social skills and engagement. This dynamic interaction promotes a collective understanding and encourages clients to explore different perspectives, which builds a supportive community leading to improved therapeutic outcomes .

The primary purpose of remotivation therapy is to bring clients toward their reality to become aware of outside events, enhance their awareness, socialization, and self-esteem. It aims to stimulate communication, vocational, and social skills, fostering a better connection between clients and their environment .

Step 1: Climate of Acceptance contributes to remotivation therapy by establishing a supportive and welcoming environment. It involves greeting clients by name, offering compliments, and maintaining a socially acceptable human touch, which helps build trust and encourages positive engagement from participants, setting the tone for the session's therapeutic process .

Step 2: Bridge to the Real World plays a critical role in remotivation therapy by using questions to connect clients' thoughts to real-world contexts. It involves asking sequential questions that guide clients to a specific topic, such as food, to promote engagement and stimulate cognitive processing. Unlike other steps, it specifically aims to cognitively orient clients, whereas other steps focus on sharing, appreciation, or closure .

Step 5: Climate of Appreciation serves as an effective conclusion by summarizing the session's discussions, acknowledging participation, and expressing gratitude. It helps solidify the positive experiences gained during the session, leaves participants with a sense of accomplishment, and fosters anticipation and motivation for future sessions by outlining next steps .

The therapeutic values of remotivation therapy include reaching the ‘unwounded’ areas of a patient's personality, stimulating communication, vocational, and social skills, and enhancing interest in their environment. These contribute to patient outcomes by improving self-esteem, awareness, and socialization, which are critical for successful therapeutic engagement and overall well-being .
