Who is a businessman?

A businessman is an individual
who undertakes activities to
generate cash flow, sales and
revenue by utilizing a
combination of human, financial,
intellectual and physical capital
with a view to fueling economic
development and growth.

A person who brings his unique ideas to run


a startup company is an entrepreneur. A
startup is a new business ventured into by
an entrepreneur for the first time. A person
who starts a business based on an old
concept or idea is a businessman.
Another term to remember is a founder. A
founder refers to someone who starts up or
launches a business. If there are more
than one founders, they are called co-
founders.

The businessman chooses to do


business that is high in demand or
give him maximum profit. Therefore,
a person who engages in a business
because he sees that he will earn
maximum profit from the goods or
services is a businessman. Because
the business he chooses is high in
demand, the businessman is faced
with a high competition likewise. In
the market, he will have to face other
businessmen engaged in the same
type of business. The advantage of
having to invest in a product or
service that is already in demand is
that the risk is low. *
