The reproductive system is inferior to the head and torso, and it is superior and medial to

the legs. This organ system is located in the pelvic cavity, and it is in the right lower quadrant.

For biological males, the reproductive system has the testes, which produces sperm as its

exocrine function, and testosterone as its endocrine function. The epididymis is the duct where

semen passes through. The seminiferous tubles are what produces the sperm.

For biological females, the reproductive system has ovaries, which produce the eggs, or

ova. The uterine tubes (or fallopian tubes) receive the ova from the ovaries. The uterus, where

ova are fertilized by sperm, is also the organ that houses the fetus for 9 months after the ova is

fertilized by the sperm.

The key function of the reproductive system is to produce offspring. Semen is produced

by the seminiferous tubles and is passed through the epididymis and vas deferens to be deposited

into the uterus during intercourse. After fertilization, an embryo is formed and a fetus grows for

9 months until birth.
