1. Recall some of your defining moments in the formation of your moral character. Did it
change your personality as well as your outlook in life? How? You can attach pictures.

One of my defining moments is the Moving Up Exercise in Junior high

school. This sums up about my difficulties and challenges that I faced
when I was a junior high school student. It made me realize that
respect in everyone is very important. If you really want to achieve
your goals you have to be disciplined. It really made me think about
what will be my future. This is the start of a new chapter in my life. I
had to be careful about my decisions. It gave me a new outlook of
what lies ahead in my entire existence.

This is when I celebrated my 18th birthday. A new

chapter in adulthood has begun. The realization
hit me that nothing stays the same. People will
come and go in your life. You need to stay away
from people that drag you down. It also made me
realize the importance of the support and love
from my family. In every decisions that I make, I
have to think not just myself but also the effects
on it to the people that surround me, if it will be
good or bad for them. I also realized that I had to
have a bigger mindset, a bigger view of the world
that we lived in.

In summary, these defining moments in my life make me who I am today.

Without the problems that I faced, I cannot be strong enough to face this world today. It
made me realize that my actions and my decisions in my life will leave an impact to my
whole existence no matter how small or big my decisions are. I realized also that
change will always be there. I have to change some of my bad traits because it has a
negative impact on others as well as myself.

2. Six Pillars of Character

Trustworthiness

Trustworthiness is one of the pillars of character. It

means that as a person, you have to be dependable
and honest to the people around you. You have to be
a reliable person, you have to gain the trust of other
people by showing that you are sincere to what they
say. That is why I chose this picture with my senior
high school friends. We already build the trust
between us and I can say that we will not lie about
each other and we can rely and keep each other’s
secrets.

Respect

“Respect yourself and the others will respect you.” This

picture is with my college friends. We have different
perceptions in life, different religions, different flaws
but we respect each other. Respect is one of the
foundations to have a good relationship to others. As a
person, you have to be considerate of the feelings of
every people and be tolerant and accepting to the
differences of each other.
Responsibility

All of us have the responsibility to fulfill. An example is

as a student, I have to be responsible to the tasks that
will be given to us. Human beings must be disciplined.
We have to be accountable to every actions, words and
attitudes that we make.

Fairness

We should play by the rules, not just in games

but in our everday lives. Also, fairness means
that you have to be open minded and listen to
other people and treat all the people fairly and
equally.

Caring

We have to be kind and compassionate to others. As a

human, we have to take care of each other andd show that
you care. We have to help people in need.
Citizenship

As a human being, we have to have a share or concern to

our surroundings. We have to get involved in the
community affairs. We have to do the responsibilities as a
citizen of our country. Obey the laws and rules and be a
good citizen.
