Introduction
Education is a long life process of learning and to become an efficient and effective one, the
strategies, tactics and learning styles must be upgraded.
Being a future educator is a little bit hard and exhausting. Why? Because we do a lot of paper
works, researches, lesson plans and at the same time we our still involved in housework and caring our
family. Sometimes, It came to think on my mind that, Is this really the profession I wanted to be for the
rest of my life? Do I really commit myself from this tiring course? Am I happy for being a teacher
someday? Then suddenly, I came to realize that this is my passion. This is what my hearts belong to.
My dream is to become an instrument for those people who wants to be a teacher someday. And I will
make every childrens dream to become true. Yes it was an hasstle position but if you really wants to be
a good leader to everyone, then you need to accept the fact the we serve our life for every childs future.
As a part of being a future teacher, we are bound to do field study in different school. The aim
of this study and education students engagement in different schools is to have first hand experiences
and see clearly difficulties that we may face in the near futur. In here we have experience how teachers
face students and how they communicate. How teacher discusses their lesson and things that they use
in order to deliver the lesson properly and to complete their as facilitator of the classroom. Education is
a powerful tool for the them to think critically and to make informed decisions. Therefore, the teacher’s
highest priority is to make a better and improve learning environment for the learners.

during the completion of this portfolio.
First and foremost, my utmost appreciation our loving Instructor Mr. Jonel Barruga for his
professional guidance and valuable support in which is very useful in the days to come, and for
teaching us the best way he can. Without him, we did’nt know where we would start. He molds us into
a better future educator by his words and encouragement. To Mr. Jayson D. Amian for always there
and reliable in times that we needed help. I would like to express also my special thanks of gratitude to
our former teacher, Mrs Eladio V. Barangan in giving her efforts to helps us makes our FS3 and FS5
successful. And also to Mrs. Emely Calvan for giving time to guide us and never hesitated to help us.
And to my fellow classmates for their helps and building ideas and that despite of the distance they
have throughly message me the information I needed. Without you, I will not make this portfolio
complete. Unending thankyou for you all. For the guidance and love that you shared to me.
Laslty, to our Lord who gives me strenght and wisdom to make a great job. Thankyou Dear

Teaching Philosophy
Education is my chosen career path. My main goal in teaching is to encourage the student to
explore research and knowledge in order to incorporate it into their own profession point of view.
Teaching in this field requires one to attend to both to attend the technical knowledge a student needs
and to their evolution as a reflective professional and person.
In encouraging this process, I believe it is important to view the student-teacher realationship as
one that is co-constructed. Much as I hope students will learn from me, I equally appreaciated the
learning I take from my learners.
In the classroom, adaption includes embracing multiple modalities of learning, incorporating
visuals, previewing vocabulary, translating and editing texts, graphis organizers, and heterogeneous
grouping. My focus on the variety also refers to the types of activities that we engage in a class, writing
and acting out scenes. Creating and analizing, role playing and much more. As we future educator, we
must be more and more creative in order to engage all students.
As a teacher someday, I want to build a strong realationship between me and my learners. I will
be challenging my students to be kind, conscientious, responsible and critical human beings in addition
to improving their academic abilities. In a way, I am more concern in helping my learners grow as
humans. I try to spend as much time getting to know my students as people as well as learners to help
foster a genuine relationship. I teach into a room with trust and respect, and work together with my
learners to make this mutual.
Reactions
The teacher engaged more in resource materials by integrating in classroom instructions. There
was a big change in the way classes are traditionally conducted and the quality of instruction is
improved to a higher level. Teacher Calvan also integrate technology for her learners for them to
become motivated, confident and collaborative learners who are engaged in their learning of the subject
matter, and are capable of relevant application of concepts into authentic scenarios. It does provide a
quality of learning.
In designing bulletin board, improve effectiveness and enjoyment of lessons and keep the
classroom interesting with these bulletin board ideas and examples. They’ll make classroom visually
appealing and stimulating to students. Whether the teacher teach science, reading, art, or social studies,
they sure to find the perfect bulletin board to fit their current theme or topic of discussion. Preparing a
teaching aid on specific topic has a great impact to the learner. I know that this day is hard to catch the
attention of the learner because they are hyper but through various teaching aids, we can motivate and
encourage the learner to perform the learning task. Teachers need to decide what supportive materials
they will need to enhance the quality and effectiveness of learning. They need to be able to select
suitable materials from those already available and more important, to design their own materials to be
particularly relevant to individual learning programmed and objectives. Providing classroom handout is
difficult to the teacher. It is time consuming when you are making in every topic. But I realize that you
are preparing good process of learning. You are helping students remember your presentation long after
is over, allow students to concentrate on your presentation rather than trying to write down everything
you say, and present information visually, which meets the needs of visual learners and provide
students with a guide to help them with a future research.
Reflection
According to Mrs. Calvan, resource material must be well organized according to their
functions and characteristics. Books and other teaching materials should be placed in placed in orderly
manner as to subject areas as to subject matter per grading period. In this manner, the teacher and
students as well as can easily access the things that they need for a certain topic. Materials should be
labeled properly and instructions in using them should be clearly stated them to avoid time consuming.
Through the teacher’s effort, the main strenght of Learning Resource Center is it’s attractiveness to the
studens. Those very colorful pictures that posted on every classroom walls which by themselves as
learning materilas. The main weakness is it’s physical size. The growing number of student make it
difficult for them to fit Learning Resource Material. Moreover, It serves as an extension classroom
which makes it ever more smaller. Since student have their own classrooms, Mrs. Calvan suggest that
every students take turns in using the LCR. Probably they can do it by grade level so as to avoid
overcrowding. LCR should be conducive to learning so classess should not be done inside. She said
that, there are so manu technologies being used in teaching like networking, online teaching, class
blogs, mobile devices and many more to improve learningg and teaching process in which benefit are
evident in utilizing varied educational technology like improve engagement among learners, improve
knowledge retention, encourage individual learning and collaboration and students can learn useful
skills.
Episode 2
Bulletin board displays, the location of display is just as important as the information put on it.
Classroom doors, windows, storage board, front panel of teacher’s table or anywhere where in visible
to learners. She said that display board design effects the interest of the audience, so it should be
displays captures students attention. It needs to be accesible and it has to be manipulative in order to
encourage students involvement. The language used should be clear and simole for the target audience
to understand so that the audeince could easily read and understand the writings on the board by using
simple words and phrases. If not, then they would have a different understanding or interpretation and
worst, they don’t understand at all. The purpose of bulletin board display is to attract the attention of
the student It promotes the creativity of students and teachers. An effective communication of the
indeed message, use as an effective educatinal media and can be used in a large audience.
Episode 3
According to her, instructional materials for be appropriate for the age, emotional and social
development and ability level of every students for whom the materials are selected but the availability
and the cost of the materials has to put into cinsideration. Teaching experince a lot of difficulties in the
teaching learning process, some of the skills included in the material may be needed and required but
based on the instructional level of students, it’s simply isn’t worth the time to spent trying to master the
skills so just introduced simple and basic words to information to learners. The prominent problems
that teachers are facing in remote areas that hinder the effective use of instructional materials and
resources for instance the unavailability of current so most probably internet and other electric gadgets
are useless. Teachers can be still effective in using traditional way of teaching which is the lecture
method. Lack of knowledge of teacher in using materials. If teacher is not knowledgeable enough or
don’t have experience using the materials she/he should ask someone’s asssistance to do it for her/him.
Learning resources/materials used effectively so that they all have the ability to support students
learning. However, in some cases problems may arise when objectives are poorly given. This can
confuse learners and they try to make their own perspective in such a way they interpret the direction.
Episode 4
According to Mrs. Calvan, available materials are appropriate for your target grade level.
Teachers must always comsider the characteristics and the nature of the students, their ability, interest
and even their health. Teaching tools include Teaching aids like cards, charts, grid, pictures, drawing,
photos, magazines, worksheets, mindmapping, technology, video, digital material data show, CD’s
Electronic, prorhama, dictionary, websites and other more. Teaching resources or materials are the
actual daily life sites and environment realia. Concrete teaching materials and theoritical teaching
material. The online teacher tools and resources and the electronic teaching and learning programs. The
benefit of doing surveys of available for making your own materials are cost, time and appropriateness
of materials. Tips on the preparation of teaching materials are, gathering basic items because it will
make planning and teaching easier. And collect useful materials like cut outs, photographs, brochures,
magazine articles, building blocks, story book and others. Make simple quizzes atleast 1 to 5 every
lesson. Write simple dialogue and role plays, write tongue twisters to focus on a problem sound. Create
games, drawings, posters and use available technology.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, we take online seminar in order for us to finish this semester and
to be able for us to have a grade.
As I observe, this online class is a quite hard for me compared to an actual process of learning.
In online class, we are free to research and explore on the internet but it only becomes complicated
because of the different context. We missed the oppurtunities to go in the field to witness those
different attitudes that every learners have. We are having a trouble on the internet connection that can
cause our paper works to be dalayed. I am having a hard time with my child because he wants my
attention only for him.
Face-to-face training will generally offer more opportunities for discussion and group work.
The ability to put your new knowledge into immediate action, ask questions and get immediate answers
is a clear advantage. Online classes offer greater flexibility but can be harder in many ways. Rather
than having a facilitator who can act as a coach and motivator, you are entirely responsible for your
own progress in getting through the learning materials.
Online classes can be helpful if you have a busy schedule, but you need to make sure you can
access the materials. For example, if there are specific programs you need to install onto your computer
as part of the course, you need to make sure they will be compatible. You should have a good internet
connection, a well-running computer and feel pretty proficient in using technology and troubleshooting
computer problems when necessary.
Students in face-to-face classes have a consistent schedule they can easily follow, guided by
regular physical classes where they receive instructions and complete activities. Upon my observation
about the online class, I do prefer for going to school and have a face to face class. We have a different
difficulties that we need to develop by the help of our teachers but we need to face the reality that we
are in a difficult situation which is the reason for us to stay home. Even though there is a big difference
between online class and face to face class, our teacher or structure is doing their best to make sure that
our learning will still consistent.
