1. What is the main topic of the reading materials? Give important details on the excerpts
read.
The primary sources which is from Santiago V. Alvarez tells about the Tejeros
Convention, which discussed the happenings during the election, as they started Mr.
Severino de las Alas wants to discussed first the major issue and that is what kind of
government they should have and how they should go about establishing it. Also, Chairman
Lumbreras explained the stands of Katipunan which is for freedom, brotherly love, and a
well-organized and well-run government, they also discussed some best measure to
strengthen the Magdiwang government. But, Mr. De las Alas pointed that the letter “K” and
the sun on the flag did not indicate whether the revolutionary government was democratic
or not. As the elections continued, they finished to elect the secretary of war, they proceed
to elect the secretary of the interior which Mr. Andres Bonifacio, the Surpremo, won over
Mr. Mariano Alvarez. In contrast to that, Mr. Daniel Tirona expressed his emotions that the
secretary of interior is sensitive and has a great scope that it should not entrust it to one
who is not a lawyer, and for Mr. Bonifacio who has no credentials to show attesting to any
educational attainment, he wants Mr. Jose del Rosario to be the one who assign to it. The
Supremo Bonifacio feels embarrassed, he took his revolver and pointed it to Mr. Tirona
that he demand him to give an apology, but instead of saying sorry, he ignored the Supremo
and and got lost in the crowd. Because of that, Supremo Bonifacio declared null and void all
and the matters approved during the election.

happened before and during the convention. The main topic of this, the Katipunan of
Cavite, divided into two factions or two groups the Magdiwang and Magdalo, they both

the chance to got together to elect one supreme council that would hold sway over the
entire province. As they discussed of the new establishing a new government, the Minister
of War, Ariston Villanueva said that if a new government was to be established, Andres
Bonifacio, who had organized and planned the entire revolutionary movement, must have
the right to occupy the presidency without any election. As Emilio Aguinaldo declare his
active electioneer was in favor of Evangelista, Bonifacio was deeply hurt for as a founder
and Supreme Head of the Katipunan he felt that the presidency should be given to him as a
reward. As it goes in electing the Director of Interior, he created and agreement that tells
that they need to respect and obey the will of the majority regardless of the educational
attainment of the person. As Daniel Tirona tells that Supremo Bonifacio was not applicable
of the position, that he wants Jose del Rosario to be the one who assigned to it, Bonifacio
said, that he did agree that they have to abide by the decision of the majority whatever may
be the social standing of the elected personnel. Then he sent a letter to his uncle-in-law,
Mariano Alvarez that tells his feelings on how he never expected that his complacency and
faithfulness would be rewarded with insult upon his person by fellow townsmen who are
false patriots.

materials was written with the person who’s in the event and has experience it. And secondary
sources because it will help you to find more information that is related in the topic you are
looking for.
