1. How do you work in four managerial functions?

Four Managerial Functions

Planning: I create plan to meet company goal and objectives. For example- we planned for
recruitment in this COVID situation. As business shrinks, Management decided
to limit recruitment only on most emergency cases, otherwise bulk recruitment
is discouraged. Accordingly, we plan for whether online or direct interview and
recruit professionals.

Organizing: I delegate task to team members as per merit with specific task. We need
sometimes to reorganize in response to new challenges.

Leading: I provide the team proper instruction and show “How to do” to accomplish their
task. We set them timeline and prioritize their daily operation.

Controlling: I regularly monitor the quality of task and employee performance so that the
given assignment does fulfill organization objectives.

2. What is the process of hiring employees of your company and what type of quality you are
looking for in a candidate?

Candidate’s Quality: I normally find out-


-Does the candidate hold our MGI core values?
-Does s/he has the core competencies for specific position
-Does s/he has the individual, business technical skill for the required
position?

3. What type of problems you have faced in the pandemic and what are the steps you are taking
to overcome it ?
Problem faced in Pandemic:
(a) Meeting/ conference
(b) Interviewing people
(c) Training
How it was overcome: We use online platform like Google meet, Zoom, Skype etc. for all
meeting.

4. What type of preparations you always take to deal with an unexpected situation?
I always use emotional intelligence to overcome any unexpected situation.

5. Which methods of motivation is providing the industry most financial or non-financial ? How
do you delivery the negative feedbacks of employees ?
For employee motivation we follow the following methods in MGI:

- SMART goal setting


- Maintain all hygiene factors: On time salary, PF, Overtime etc
- Maintain all motivation factors: Recognition, Incentives, Reward, Career plan,
authority etc.
- Use positive and negative reinforcement where appropriate.

We give special notice on negative feedback. We forward them to Management for future
review.

6. How do you handle conflict between team members?


I try to find the root of conflict, focus on the problem and ease the situation by mutual
understanding.

7. What responsibility did the company performed for the society and needy people in this
pandemic?

8. How is your product growth rate in market before and now? Do you invest more share with
your competitors?
I don’t have correct information

9. How would your employees describe the culture in your company?


Our culture is moderately good. Especially work environment is favorable for women.

10. What is something in the company is still working on getting right?


We are working on reengineering our benefit policy and bring structure to every process.

11. What are the major environmental factors that are influencing or affecting your company
recently or for last few years?
In the recent years, the company is doing good, except the COVID 19 pandemic situation this
year.
12. What styles (autocratic/ democratic/laisses- faire style) leadership are you performing in this
pandemic and why?
I prefer laissez Faire style. I delegate task among the team and let them finish the task.
