Do you think ‘adventure tourism’ in unexplored parts of the
world should be encouraged?
In my opinion, ‘adventure tourism’ is a great activity to do because it allows
you to get out from your comfort zone and of course – learn many new and
exciting things. This type tourism includes activities such as skydiving, hill
climbing, scuba diving.
There are, undoubtedly, many positive sides of tourism. It contributes mainly
to the economy (tourism industries). The more tourists, more economic
growth. Exploring undiscovered and exotic places around the world also
benefits the person’s inner soul because by learning about t nature’s miracles
feeds the heart with love towards everything that’s not seen with the eyes.
However, with positives, unfortunately, come the negatives. There is
seasonality of work which isn’t especially good for a hotel’s profit for example.
Another flaw is the damage it can cause to nature, etc.
What is more, the risks of injuring (or even death) yourself are high and they
have to be taken into consideration as well.
All in all, ‘adventure tourism’ is an enlightening experience which makes you
realize all the things you miss while just staying at home staring at the display
of the TV or the phone.
