Argumentative Essay: Android vs iOS

In my opinion I believe that Android is better than IOS for many reasons. Android is ? an operating system created by Google. IOS is a operation system
created by Apple. Android is a operation system used by lots of phone manufacture such as Samsung, Lg, HTC, Motorola, Sony, and more. Android is getting
more and more popular because more phone manufacture start using it as their own operating system.

Unlike Android IOS only used by Apple. Now in this world there is more electronic devices that used Android operation system.

Don't waste time.

One reason I favor Android over IOS is is more customization. “the strong points of Android has always been the level of customization it allows. While Apple
wants to keep control of default apps and maintain a homogenous software and hardware experience, Android lets you pick your own level of customization.
This extends all the way from simple things like animated wallpaper, to alternative keyboards, to custom ROM installs.” Android device allows you to
customize everything, you can change the way your devices look by downloading another launcher to your devices.

You can also customize your keyboards, widgets, and so on by downloading third-party software from the play store. Second reason I picked Android is it lets
you manipulate multimedia files much easier than IOS, you can just drag-and-drop your files into any device’s folder. The last reason Android is better because
it come in at any price u want. “Affordability has been a key driver for Android dominance worldwide and it continues to be.

If you want premium devices that match and surpass the iPhone or iPad then you can find them, but if you want a budget device then Android is your only
choice”. If you on a budget there even a android smartphone for below $150 but if u not on a budget u can get a better Android phone with higher
specifications for example the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or the Nexus 6.

I’m not saying that IOS is a bad operating system. IOS still is one of the best operating system out there. IOS’s app store have more apps than the Android’s app
store, it also the first app store that receive all new and updated apps. Also IOS is a smooth operating system, it fast, simple, clean, and easy to use. But IOS is
only on Iphone, Ipad, and Ipod. “iOS’ user experience is one of the most intuitive. Android can take some time to figure out, and there’s a lack of consistency in
the way third-party apps operate, but if you give someone an iOS device they’ll generally be able to figure out much of the functionality on their own.”

In conclusion, Android is a better operating system for many reasons. But IOS still a good operating system overall. If IOS have more customization and get
used by more phone manufactures then IOS can take the first place for the best operating system.

Android offers a higher level of customization compared to iOS, which significantly influences user experience. While Android allows users to customize everything from animated wallpapers to custom ROM installs through third-party software, iOS maintains a more controlled environment with limited customization options. This customization flexibility allows Android users to tailor their devices to personal preferences more extensively, which can be appealing but might make it more complex to use initially. In contrast, iOS provides a simpler, smoother, and more intuitive experience out of the box, which may be easier for some users to navigate .

The availability of Android on a wide range of devices from various manufacturers, including budget options, allows it to reach a broader market and contribute to its global dominance. In contrast, iOS is only available on Apple products, which typically cater to higher-end market segments. This exclusivity limits iOS's reach but helps maintain Apple’s control over the user experience and integration across devices .

If iOS were to expand its customization options and establish partnerships with other manufacturers, it could potentially surpass Android by attracting users who value personalization alongside those who appreciate Apple's seamless integration and robust app ecosystem. Such a strategy would broaden iOS's market appeal and compete directly with Android’s flexibility and availability across devices. However, this could disrupt Apple's brand identity of providing a controlled quality experience, posing challenges to maintaining its reputation for ease of use and security .

The varying price range of Android devices allows the platform to accommodate a diverse consumer base, from budget-conscious buyers to those seeking premium experiences. This inclusivity strengthens Android's competitive stance against iOS, as the latter is typically restricted to higher-end markets. By addressing the needs of consumers across economic segments, Android maintains a wider market presence and continuous growth in contrast to iOS .

Affordability is a key factor in Android's dominance in the market. Android devices are available at a wide range of prices, allowing access to consumers with varying budgets, including those looking for premium as well as very affordable devices. This contrasts with Apple's iOS devices, which generally occupy a higher price point, limiting their market to consumers willing to pay a premium. The affordability of Android devices, coupled with customization, makes it attractive to a broad audience, thereby reinforcing its dominant position .

Apple's control over both hardware and software in iOS devices ensures a homogenous experience characterized by seamless integration and high reliability. This contrasts with Android's open-source approach, which results in a heterogeneous user experience due to the multiplicity of manufacturers creating devices with varied hardware specifications. While Apple's tightly controlled environment may limit customization, it is beneficial for maintaining consistency and stability across its devices .

Android provides greater versatility in handling multimedia files as it allows users to manipulate these files more straightforwardly than iOS. Users can easily drag-and-drop files into device folders, which simplifies file management and transfer processes. This capability is particularly attractive for users who regularly deal with large volumes of multimedia content and require seamless interaction with different devices .

The intuitive and user-friendly design of iOS significantly enhances its appeal, as users are often able to navigate and operate iOS devices with minimal effort. This contrasts with Android’s customizable environment, which can sometimes result in a fragmented user experience due to inconsistencies across different devices and app versions. While Android attracts tech-savvy users who appreciate personalization, iOS may appeal more to those seeking straightforward and cohesive functionality .

Despite limitations in customization and device availability, iOS surpasses Android in areas such as having a more intuitive user experience, a more streamlined and faster operating system, and being the first to receive new and updated apps. iOS is also praised for its simplicity and ease of use, which can appeal to users looking for a straightforward and consistent user experience .

iOS tends to have a more extensive app selection than Android as its app store often receives new and updated apps first. This can influence user preference, especially for those who prioritize access to the latest applications. While Android offers significant customization allowing more varied app integration, the delayed app availability might be a disadvantage for users looking for timely access to new features and functionalities .
