1.

)  Discuss the importance of quality team works, and team building.

Team is a key element of better quality. It is team, not individual who creates product
or service and delivered to customer. A team’s ability is more than the sum of the
abilities of individual members. This is one of the primary reasons for advocating
teamwork. The team is built upon trust. For a better team understanding there must be
someone who leads the team in front. That person is the Leader. They have qualities
such as purpose, trust, participation, people skills, accountability, and reinforcement.
Quality team works results in continual feedback and improved output quality. When
taking a look at companies like Apple or Tesla team-work seems to be one of the
main pillars that holds them at the top.
The following facts summarize the rationale for teamwork:
 Teamwork multiplies the potential of individal members:- Leading teams and
building teams go hand in hand. The more comfortable workers share their
ideas and opinions, the more relaxed they are. This will encourage them to
take on new challenges.
 Teamwork generates positive peer pressure.
 It promote better communication:- Discussion based practices allow for open
communication between workers and between employees and management.
This can improve the relationship between departmets and, in turn, improve
the quality of work done.
 Team work helps to develop problem solving skills: A crisis can occur at any
time in public relations. Team building exercises that allow colleagues to work
together to solve problems will strengthen the ability to think rationally and
[Link] is very necessary to take rapid decisions when problems arises
in crucial [Link] that can assess, when a problem arises and know what
they can do about it,can take over when a real crisis happens.
 Team work breaks all barriers: Team building increases the workers trust
factor. There is often a divide between the leadership team and employees in
corporate settings because the employees feel too large a gap between the
[Link] team work both sides leadership team and employees can come closer
and share their [Link] this way they can comfortably share each and every
aspects of work and it helps to break all barriers.

HOW MY COMPANY DOING THIS?

My company work on one idea and that is “ If we wrok in team we can achieve anything in
world.” In my company there is an enviornment to listen every employee. And this is the best
thing for team work. In every department we listen to every employee who work on ground
level to the managing level. Also we take feedback from employee for the quality
improvement and if the idea is good the we impliment it also. Also main part of teamwork
and team building is that everyone should know that which work thay have to do. In my
company we educate and give training to the employee for their responsbilities and work they
have to do. Another part of teamwork is to set goal. In my company every department set
weekly and monthaly goals for their achievement and we celebrate every achievement we
acieved in some manner so that every employee feels comfortable and feels that they are part
of team.

2.)  How would you handle conflicts in quality teams?

Conflicts will occur in every team. There are various types of conflicts.
 Conflicts with the boss.
 Conflicts with colleague.
 Conflicts with direct reports or team members.
Team leaders and members can apply following things for preventing and resolving team
conflict:-
 Prepare and work to create a community that combines individuality and
opposition with cooperation and teamwork.
 Do not allow individuals to create personal empires or promote personal agendas
using the organization.
 Encourage healthy, productive competition and discourage unhealthy competition
that is counterproductive.
 Assign a problem to each group or individuals with widely different viewpoints.
 Teach staff how to manage both disagreement (not letting it get out of hand) and
agreement.
 Establish clear-cut criteria for deciding when individuals will make decisions.
 Every individual must be awarded for his or her risk taking behavior.
 Reevaluate the project, problem, or idea when no dissent or doubt is expressed.
 Ensure that the organization’s value system and reward/ recognition systems are
geared toward cooperation with constructive dissent rather than dog-eat-dog
competition or cooperation at all costs.

HOW MY COMPANY DOING THIS?

Conflicts are normal while we wrok in team but it is important that we handle it with positive
attitude. My company takes any conflicts seriously. In my compnay conflict resolution
responsbiliti are given at different level. If conflict arise between low level employee then
supervisior has to solve it. If it happens between supervisiors then department head has to
solve it and if conflict happens between departments then it should be solved by managing
level. As an owner I constataly observe all conflicts. There is procedure to resolve conflict in
my company which I descibe below:

 Speak to every employee/ team members individually

 Bring people together and discuss with them.
 Be fair and impartial with decision.
 Avoid assumptions regarding conflict.
 Draw up plan and ask the parties to agreed on actions for reconsiliation.
 Take follow up at regular time.

3.) How do you reward quality achievements in a team?

Employees feels vey bad and fustrated if they are not appreciated for the work they do.
You can start to finish this by recognizing the achievements of team members. Make sure
that your company has a culture to reward team efforts as well as individuals effort. A
perfect example of this reward model is considering a professional sport known as
[Link] the collaborative efforts of the team wins the tournament all the players are all
equally rewarded with money but the individual who performs well in the tournament get
the extra incentive or rewards.
The keys to developing a reward program are as follows:

 Identification of company or group goal that the reward program will support.
 Identification of the desired employee performance.
 Determination of key measurements of the performance or behavior, based on the
individual or group's previous achievements
 Determination of appropriate rewards
 Communication of program to employees

The reward can be in form of:

 Pay check
 Profit sharing
 Stock options
 Holidays
 Gadgets
 Award

HOW MY COMPANY DOING THIS?

My company has culture reward team effort as well as individual effort which helps company
in certain manner. If any team working on project complete any project under time as well as
under budget and better quality my company reward that team. My company has human
resource department which works on this with the every departments. After getting data from
higher authorities of company human resourse center acknowledge team member’s
achievements and recgnize personal bests also. And send this data to concern department in
which team works. Then department head decide to which type of reward should be given. It
includes: permission to leave early for some days, some day off, reward in terms of money,
sponsor for holiday tour. Also, managing department send appriciation letter to every
member of team regarding their efforts and work for company. And give awards to best team
from every department at Annual Meet of Company every year.

4.) How do you communicate effectively? Focus on communication skills

and soft skills.

As a manger, one of the most important skills you need to have is the communication
skill. Teamwork is developed through communication and we addressed how important a
good teamwork is for any organization. Effective communication means when the
receiver receives the sender’s message clearly. A message may be sent by one person and
received by another, but until the message is understood by both, no communication has
occurred. This applies to all forms of communication, including verbal, nonverbal, and
written. A message is received understood and acted upon in order to achieve effective
[Link] means that effective communication can require managers to be
persuasive, motivator, monitoring and leader. The following strategies will help my
company organizational leaders establish and maintain effective communication.
-) Every employee in company should communicate in same language. My company
communicate in such a way that each and every person in the company can understand. It
means as a leader I use very easy language so that everyone understand that. I will be
more expressive because sometimes words are not enough to describe the work you
needed.
-) Communication should be to the main point/goal. Do not share useless and pointless
information to the employees because sometimes lower level worker can get confused
and might ending doing wrong thing. So communication should be short and sweet to
avoid this.
-)Communication often and freely: In my communication will be often so that every
employee in the company can make a bond with each other and it will ultimately help to
company. Communication will be more freely so that we can solve any issues within the
company quickly.

Benefits of good communication skill in business:-

 Highly valued in the workplace.

 Helps career progression.
 Allows you to speak concisely
 Enhance your professional image.
 Improve self esteem.
 Improve leadership skill.
 Gives you the tools to participate in society.

5.) Why are listening skills important?

I think that listening skill has equal importance of speaking [Link] is also as
important as communication in any [Link] listening means receiving the
message correctly, decoding it, and accurately perceiving what it means. The main causes
for disruption in listening are lack of concentration, interruptions and tuning out. The
listening skill is one of the most important aspects of communication process. It helps to
understand and read the other person’s message. Effective listening skills create positive
workplace relationships which influence our opinions and responsiveness to one another.
Inhibitors to good listening include the following: lack of concentration, preconceived
ideas, thinking ahead, interruptions, tuning out, and interference. Listening skills may be
improved by upgrading the desire to listen, asking the right questions, judging what is
really being said, and eliminating listening errors. Listening is crucial to any effective
communication, without being able to listen properly to messages, communication breaks
down quickly confused and the message sender may easily become annoyed or
[Link] employees has good hearing abilities but they do not have good
listening abilities.

It can lead to disaster and mistakes if messages are misunderstood. It can be very costly if
errors occur and breaks the chances of zero-defect. Interrupting someone before he
finishes his things, create a bad image of our character and also he might feel [Link]
doing so you make him/her feel less important and this is not good for company.
There are some benefits of good listening skills:-

 Better customer satisfaction.

 Greater productivity with fewer mistake.
 Innovative work
 Employees feels importance of them.
 Good business.

HOW MY COMPANY DOING THIS?

My company organize seminars every year on Improving Listening Skill. Because I think
that if you don’t listen anyone carefully or in proper manner then it can cause you big loss
in income as well as quality. Also at recruit level we check employees listening skills
because we think that if you listen carefully then after you can understand anything
properlly so it’s matter a lot during job. Also we give training to every department head to
listen their employee carefully and understand their feelings.

6.) What are the management strategies for quality-focused

interpersonal needs?

In a total quality focused organization, those that lack interpersonal skills also lack the
ability to communicate effectively with manager, co-workers, and customers.
Interpersonal skills are very important for people working together to be effective in a
corporate environment. Interpersonal skills are a skill set that is required for both
personal and professional life for a successful person. Lack of communication is the
main cause of not having interpersonal skills. This skill set is necessary for high
quality. This skill is the link between the customer and employers and organisation.
The steps management can take to ensure that employees of the workforce have
sufficient interpersonal relations to be effective communicators include the following:

Figure 3.6.1 Management Strategies (Image by myself: Vraj Patel)

 Recognition of need: Thave employees with good interpersonal skills,

manager must recognize the need for this skill. In past, the focus of the
staffing process has been technical skills and paper credentials. This are most
important consideration that should remain in frot when making staffing
decision.
 Careful selection:- nce a list of candidates with the appropriate technical
qualifications and credentials are identified, the soft skills of the list of
candidates can be evaluated.  This can include interpersonal skills such as
listening, patience, empathy, open-mindedness, friendliness and tact.
 Training:- While some people possess inborn interpersonal skills, most do
not.  Others may require training in specific areas.  It is important to identify
these areas during reviews and appraisals and to coach individuals in areas of
need.
 Measurement and reward:- If managers value interpersonal skills, these skills
will be measured as part of the normal performance-appraisal process.
Correspondingly, the results of such appraisals will be built into the reward
system.

7.) What are the principles of overcoming negativity and conflicts in the
workplace?

The very first thing to overcoming any conflicts or negativity is recognizing [Link]
communication, keywords and mannerisms are [Link] example, the use of "I can't"
indicates too often a negative [Link] is very important not to take sides throughout
this process and to listen to feedback from each individual. Negativity in team is an
evil that must be eliminated at any cost. It reduces the optimization process. It
degrades the employees and reduces the performance. Workplace disputes are
generally handled by avoiding the conflict, Managers should be constantly alert to
signs of negativity in the workplace because negativity is contagious. It can spread
throughout an organization quickly, dampening morale and inhibiting performance.
Following are the steps that will help you address the problem you have with the
person directly:

Figure 3.7.1 Principles of overcoming negativity and conflicts (image by myself:- vraj patel)
 Communicate:- Frequent, ongoing, effective communication is the best
defence againt any negativity and conflict in organization. And it is the best
tool for overcoming conflict and negativity that set in. Sharing information
and each aspects of company with employees and give them freedom and
ownership of their own work, listen to their ideas and views is the part of
communication.
 Build trust:- negativity cannot be flourish in the atmosphere of trust. Managers
can buid trust between them and employees and among the employees y
applying some steps: always delivered what is promished, take interest in
welfare of employees, be honest with employees, soliciting their suggestion,
make them part of solution, accept failure but share creadit for good work.
 Establish clear expectations:- Make sure that every employee should know
what is expected from them as individual and as a team member.  People need
to know what is expected of them and how and to whom they are accountable
for that is expected.
 Provide support for anxiety venting:- Projects and deadlines may be stressful
in the workplace. Managers need to provide opportunities their direct reports
in an atmosphere that is non-threatening, [Link] means listening
properly and allows the employee to speak freely without any interruption.

HOW MY COMPANY DOING THIS?

In my company, every department arrange monthaly get to gather so that every

employee meet each other and bond between them remain stronger. In this we
organize some events so that employees take part in it and increase trust between
them. My company also take feedback from employees to know in which area
they face difficulty and management can eliminate this and reduce the risk of
negativity. My company diffrenciate every task and responsbilities of every
employee so that everyone can know what they have to do in their work.

8.) How can you manage conflict in the workplace?

Causes of workplace conflict include limited resources, incompatible goals, role

ambiguity, different perspectives, and poor communication. Managers have two
responsibilities regarding conflict in the workplace: conflict resolution and conflict
stimulation. Most conflicts should be prevented and resolved, but some of them
should be stimulated when team members agree too easily with new ideas. .Conflict
resolution and stimulation, taken together, are known as conflict management. The
following guidelines can be used by managers for resolving a conflict.
 Determine how important the issue is to all people involved.
 Determine if all interested people are willing and able to discuss the topic in a
positive way.
 Select a private place where the issue can be discussed confidentially by
everyone involved.
 Make sure that both sides understand that they are responsible for both the
problem and the solution.
 Solicit opening comments from both sides. Let them express their concerns,
feelings, ideas, and thoughts, but in a non-    accusatory manner.
 Guide participants toward a clear and specific definition of the problem.
 Guide participants toward a clear and specific definition of the problem.
 Encourage participants to come forward with ideas. Examine the problem
from a variety of perspectives and discuss any and all proposed solutions
 Evaluate the costs versus the gains of all proposed solutions and discuss them
openly.
 Reflect on the issue and discuss the conflict resolution process.

HOW MY COMPANY DOING THIS?

As I discuss earlier my company has special department name as Human Resource

which cooperate with department in which conflict arise to reslove conflict.
Human resource department follows all the steps I listed above to resolve the
conflict. My company has one policie in which if conflict arise all people involve
in conflict are considered as same whether they are at higher post or lower post all
are considered as same and sufficient time is given to every person to explaintheir
point of view. In addition with this my company send human resourses
employees to the seminar based on ‘How to Manage People’ this will give them
sufficent ability to resolve conflict.

9.) How do you communicate in conflict situations?

Communication is most important when resolving conflict and resolving the negative
[Link] maintaining a positive attitude and keeping open lines of communication
among all parties involved is a great way to cooperatively solve the problem. Some
guidelines for communication during the conflict are:
 Attitude towards people involved in the conflict: a person will call for a fight
and they will surely will get it. Communication must be provided in such a
way that they must aim at convincing them to opt out of it. Both parties must
come to an amicable solution.
 Assessing the blame game: The argument will always starts with the blame
and it goes on. The cause for the problem must be solved by human
interaction. The blame must be stopped and some conclusion must be made.
 When possible, conflict guidelines should be in place before conflicts
[Link] is not unusual to be worsened by disagreements about how to
overcome it. Make sure that all parties understand how decisions will be made,
who has the right to give input, and what things are irrelevant before
approaching a situation where conflict should arise.
3)More of the same” solutions should be eliminated: should not get stuck with
one solution.
 Maintain trust by keeping promises.
 Trust is essential to all aspects of total quality. It is particularly important in
conflict management. Trust is hard to win.

HOW MY COMPANY DOING THIS?

1)Firstly I do conversation with such persons who seem to involve in conflicts by
asking them such questions regarding conflict. 2) I will form a team in such a way
that there will be no conflicts. like I will select one person from each departments so
work will distribute equally. 3) I will provide one guideline or advisory in each
departments for how to avoid conflicts and how to act in conflicts.4) My company
will have strict policy and law about [Link] people will think twice before
getting involve in conflicts.5)I will arrange some regular seminars.6) I will keep my
promise which I did to employee to set standard of trust.

10.) Why does quality suffer if there is a major conflict?

Conflicts means there is incompatible goals, different perspectives, and poor

communication within the organization. An organization requires good managerial
decisions to be made to avoid and resolve conflicts. The ways to avoid conflicts and
ways to deal with it are explained in the above questions. This implies that, if there is
a major conflict; quality will suffer, as there will be differences in cooperation, the
outcome will be uncertain which will lead to more confusion. If there is conflicts in
internal organization itself, the employees are less focused on satisfying the customers
and customer service will get compromised.
Quality suffers if there is a major conflict because:
 Internal policy tends to perpetuate obsolete processes, procedures, and
technologies. This is because the internal politician's tactics are ideal to
oppose change
 Internal politics continues to perpetuate outdated processes procedures and
technologies This is because the external politician's methods are ideally
suited to oppose reform.
 Organizations that suffer internal politics ill effects often lose the best and
brightest employees. If a working group has low performance and does not
want to do better, its members will actually drive out anyone seeking to get
better.
 Loss  of quality, competitiveness , and customers as the organization’s focus is
diverted from what really matters.

11.) SOCIAL NETWORKING ASSIGNMENT

1.)

TOP STORY
New Ralph Lauren treatment will reduce
water use

My point of view:- I think that this the god move towards new world. Because in
upcoming years we are going to face many problems regarding fresh water. There are too
much water used in garment production if we find some technology to reduce the use of
water for production then we can save it for upcoming future. I hink that government
around the globe should make law about water used in production.
Sushil Patel’s view:- I agree with the view of vraj but I want to add that not only cloth
industry should think about water but every industry in the world should consider the
value of water and take stepsforward to reduce the use of fresh water in production or any
other use. Also we have to develop some technology by which we can make the salty
water of sea for the use of our day to day life.

2.)

Pressure-sensing cap
designed to guarantee a proper helmet fit

My point of view:- I think that this the good innovation in current world. Because we
can see many reports that many people got died or injured though they wear helmet
while riding motorcycle. This happens because of less safety in helmet due to less
technology but after this we can ensure that everyone can find good helmet according
to their size.

Sushil patel’s view:- I totally agree with vraj’s point of view. Road safety is biggest
problem in world and specially in country like India where most of people travel by
motorcycle. Further improvement can ensure ndividual safety from serious head
injuries.

3.)
Climate legal cases in
Asia have risen by 185% since 2018

My point of view:- Climate change is the biggest problem faced by world in current
era. If we don’t speak about it today then we cant survive tomorrow. I think that increament
in this cases are due to
Government policies of Asian Country. They make the law for climate but they didn’t
apply it to ground level due to their political limitation or their own short term
benefits. But we have to take it seriously because it affect our health as well as
earth’s health. Here I remember recent case against ADANI ENErgy LTD. In
Australia for coal mining and protest by climate love people.
Sushil Kumar’s Point of view:- I am a nature lover and I oppose the way in which
companies around the world are not aware about the climate. They should find some
way to elinimate the things which affects the enviornment in such way that world’s
economic growth move forward with less harm to the environment.
