Linear Integrated Circuits Tutorial 4

The document contains 5 questions about designing various linear integrated circuits including a non-inverting op-amp with gain of 3.5, an inverting amplifier with gain of 40 dB and bandwidth of 5 kHz, a filter to attenuate 2 kHz by 3 dB and output 10 sin (2π × 108t + 180)V, determining the minimum and maximum output of a voltage regulator, and designing a 2 stage op-amp with total gain of 6 from a 2V peak-peak 2 kHz input signal.

Linear Integrated Circuits - Tutorial 4

Q1. Design a non-inverting operational amplifier having a gain of 3.5. Resistor range
should be within the range of 1 KΩ -10 KΩ. Draw the output waveform when the
input single is 5sinωt

Q2. Design an inverting amplifier to have a voltage gain of 40 dB, a closed-loop bandwidth of
5 kHz and an input resistance of 10 kΩ.

Q3. Design the filter in to in Figure below meet the following requirements:
It must attenuate a signal at 2 kHz by 3 dB compared with its value a 10 MHz.
It must provide a steady-state output of vo(t) = 10 sin (2π × 108t + 180)V
for an input v s (t) = 4sin (2π ×108t) V.

Q4. Determine the minimum and maximum output voltages for the voltage
regulator in fig below. Assume IADJ = 50μA.

Q5. Design a 2 stage operational amplifier which has a total gain of 6 with an input of 2volt
peak-peak and a frequency of 2 KHz. The final output signal is same phase with input
signal. Draw the waveform for input and output for all the stages
