House entrance – INT – Night
Allec (V.O.)
It’s 11pm and an old friend came back.
The front door opens into darkness, a shadowy coated figure
enters, his eyes piercing the darkness. He enters the house,
he walks through slowly, police tape can be seen from outside.
He turns on his flashlight and slowly wonders through the
house, heading to the stairs and going upstairs.
Allec (V.O.)
The house feels cold and desolate, this family was all
together only a day ago. Hope Garcia, 15. Police investigation
shut down yesterday.
We see him enter Hope’s room, it’s messy, signs of struggle,
duvets flung off, items are thrown to the floor. He lingers
the flashlight at each part of the room. He treads around and
takes in the whole scene.
Allec (V.O.)
The damn dog tore up the place, left it in ruin. Girl was
dragged out, screaming… A man with enough sensibility like
that shouldn't be allowed to walk in the streets. Still the
same man 20 years later…
We see Allec take out a camera and takes a photo.
Bedroom - INT - Night
We cut to a shot of the girl’s photo, Holly Liden, her file is
written out with her age, 15, she smiles in her photo.
Allec (V.O.)
…15 years old, (description of the actress’ photo). Last place
seen was two nights ago in a choke hold in front of her
parents, a gun aimed to their heads.
We follow Allec’s hands as he shifts through photos of the
crime scene, the messy bedroom of the young girl, skid marks
found outside, a photo of Hope and then of a singular photo, a
man, relatively young looking, he looks friendly, too
friendly, kind and like a church choir boy. Allec stares down
this photo and his eyes fill with rage. He inhales a deep
breath and composes himself.
Allec (V.O.)
My heart feels like it’s gonna tear its way out of my chest. I
slow it down with a few inhales. The bitter taste of coffee
goes down well.
We see him sit back in his chair and look out his window into
the night.
Allec (V.O.)
Tomorrow I start a hunt I’ve waited 20 years for. Too long. So
long ago I had grossly hoped that after his release he’d do
something, just so I could take him in. This time for good.
Streets - EXT – Early evening
A man walks alone. He arrives at a train station and waits; he
looks at the time and waits for his train. The early evening
sounds fill the air, cars driving around nearby, birds
chirping, the sun setting the background. He looks around, a
sense of paranoia in his expression. The train arrives and he
gets on, he sits down. A man sits down across from him. It’s
Allec, he sits comfortably and takes out a book and reads.
They sit in silence.
Allec (V.O.)
Across from me is sat a little-known getaway driver. Might be
who left those skid marks behind.
Allec
(casually) Nice day, huh?
The getaway driver
Hm? Oh, uh, yeah.
Allec
Nice change of pace for Britain isn't it?
The getaway driver
Er, yeah, sure.
Allec slips out a photo. It’s the photo of the skid marks left
at the scene.
Allec
Recognise these?
The getaway driver starts to panic and Allec grabs him and
sits him down.
Allec
No need to worry. The police won’t have to be involved if you
give up answers soon.
The getaway driver
Jeus Christ you fucking psycho!
Allec
I’m just looking for one man
