PAST CONTINUOUS

We use the past continuous : was/were + verb with ing to talk about somethig in the past that
we did repetitively:

- Last month I was wearing a coat, gloves and a scarf.

-Why were you wearing a coat last summer?

I was wearing it because I was in Chile and it was cold.

when we talked about actions that occurred at a specific time in the past, for example:

- She was wearing a trendy coat.

It's often followed by the word when, for example: She was wearing a big hat when she went to
the shop.
