Chapter 2
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter shows how the study was conducted and how the results were analyzed. It
includes research design, respondents of the study, sampling design, data collection, data
procedure, analytical schemes, and statistical treatment of data.
Research Design
The researchers use the descriptive research design. Cristobal and Cristobal (2017) cited
the purpose of the descriptive research design is gather information about the present situation to
give more knowledge and understanding about the existing phenomena.
Respondents of the Study
The respondents of this study will be the two hundred thirty-five (235) students of
Mabalacat City College-Dapdap. To determine sample size, the researchers’ uses the slovins’
formula with a 5% margin of error in getting the sample size.

This study uses simple random design which was defined by Cristobal and Cristobal
(2017) the authors of the book Practical Research Senior High School 1, as a method of choosing
samples which all the members of the population has been given an equal opportunity to be
selected as the respondents of this study. This sampling design is use to gather random
information coming from the respondents of this study to obtain the desired information to fulfill
the outcome of this study.
Data Collection
The researcher will conduct a survey to Mabalacat city college-Dapdap Senior High
School. Then those students that which are available will be the respondents of this study. This
study will use constructed likert scale to produce the desired information for this research. After
the respondents fill the questionnaires, the researchers will collect and summarize the data
collected in the survey and it will be computed by using the statistical treatment of data. The
result of the computed data will be evaluated by the researcher to make conclusions and
recommendation.
This research will use constructed Likert Scale to get the information needed information.
Cristobal and Cristobal (2017), defines Likert scale as a common strategy which compose of
several declarative sentences that gives emphasis on the main point of this study. Gross (2018)
cited that the best way to measure and evaluate customers soppiness on a specific product,
service or experience is to use the Likert scale type of survey. In this study, the researchers want
to evaluate the five-selected fastfood chain to give information to them to improve the different
aspect of their business such as product quality, ambiance, affordability, products positioning,
and customer service.
Data Processing
Data processing will start from gathering the raw data from the respondents. The
researchers will use constructed Likert scale survey questionnaires to satisfy the collection of
data. Then the raw data collected will be process through checking by the researchers if there is a
lapse happen on the data and will be ready for processing. This study will use statistical
treatment of data base from Achilleas. After the raw data was process the researchers will
interpret the result according to the result after the data was treated. Finally, when the data has its
interpretation, the researchers will conclude according to the result of the survey then will
formulate a recommendation for this study.
Analytical Schemes
In accordance with the objectives of the study and the statement of the problem, the data
that the researcher gather will use as a basis to complete the purpose of this study, then it will
undergo statistical treatment for analysis and interpretation.
Statistical Treatment of data
This study will use statistical treatment of data base from Achilleas, A. (2014).
