Using the Simple Present Tense

•To give opinions


Example:
I like ice cream.
I don’t like spicy food.
•To talk about schedules
Example:
The library opens at 8 o’clock.
It doesn’t open at 7 o’clock.
•To talk about daily habits
Example:
Sara eats donuts for breakfast everyday.
She doesn’t eat cereal.
•To give facts
Example:
The earth circles the sun.
The moon doesn’t circle the sun.
