1 Non Contact Advance Method of COVID-19 cases using deep neural networks with
X-ray images

Abstract:
The novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-2019), which first appeared in Wuhan city of China in
December 2019, spread rapidly around the world and became a pandemic. It has caused a
devastating effect on both daily lives, public health, and the global economy. It is critical to detect
the positive cases as early as possible so as to prevent the further spread of this epidemic and to
quickly treat affected patients. The need for auxiliary diagnostic tools has increased as there are
no accurate automated toolkits available. Recent findings obtained using radiology imaging
techniques suggest that such images contain salient information about the COVID-19 virus.
Application of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) techniques coupled with radiological imaging
can be helpful for the accurate detection of this disease, and can also be assistive to overcome the
problem of a lack of specialized physicians in remote villages. In this study, a new model for
automatic COVID-19 detection using raw chest X-ray images is presented. The proposed model
is developed to provide accurate diagnostics for binary classification (COVID vs. No-Findings)
and multi-class classification (COVID vs. No-Findings vs. Pneumonia). Our model produced a
classification accuracy of 98.08% for binary classes and 87.02% for multi-class cases. The
DarkNet model was used in our study as a classifier for the you only look once (YOLO) real time
object detection system. We implemented 17 convolutional layers and introduced different
filtering on each layer. Our model (available at can be employed to assist radiologists in validating
their initial screening, and can also be employed via cloud to immediately screen patients.

Abstract

 In present day Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is gaining its momentum faster than ever.

Detecting autism traits through screening tests is very expensive and time consuming.

 With the advancement of artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML), autism can be

predicted at quite early stage.

 Though number of studies have been carried out using different techniques, these studies

didn’t provide any definitive conclusion about predicting autism traits in terms of different

age groups.

 Therefore this paper aims to propose an effective prediction model based on ML technique

for predicting ASD for people of any age.

Because of the popularity of the Internet, the integration services have gradually changed people

daily life, such as e-commerce activities on transactions, transportation and so on. The E-auction,

one of the popular e-commerce activities, allows bidders to directly bid the products over the

Internet. As for sealed bid, the extra transaction cost is required for the intermediaries because the

third-party is the important role between the buyers and the sellers help to trade both during the

auction. In addition, it never guarantees whether the third-party is trust. To resolve the problems,

the blockchain technology with low transaction cost is used to develop the smart contract of public

bid and sealed bid. The smart contract, proposed in 1990 and implements via Ethereum platform,

can ensure the bill secure, private, non-reputability and inalterability owing to all the transactions

are recorded in the same but decentralized ledgers. The smart contract is composed of the address

of Auctioneer, the start auction time, deadline, the address of current winner, the current highest

price. In the experiments, the accounts are created through Ethereum wallet. In miner stage, the

MinerGate is used in miner stage for obtaining money to pay the transaction fee. At recorder stage,

the nodes of blockchain are synchronized to generate smart contract.

Abstract
With the advancement of technology & its collaboration with health care, the world has gained a
lot of benefits. Advanced data mining and machine learning techniques are continuously
improving existing statistical methods in medical field. These improved techniques will help to
deliver an intelligent medical health care in the 21st century. This research focuses on the
diagnosis of cervical cancer by using the data mining techniques. Cervical cancer is one of the
most fatal cancer, the reason being the delay in diagnosis of the disease. This gives rise to a
strong need to expedite the process, which is the motivation for this research. To efficiently
predict true cervical cancer patients, a better subset of attributes is required. This research uses
the Genetic Algorithm (GA) as feature selection algorithm to generate better subset for
predictors. The classification algorithms used in this research are ”svmLinear”, ”RandomForest”
and ”gbm” with the oversampling technique, ”SMOTE”. Bayesian optimisation is used for hyper
parameter tuning, to boost the true positive accuracy for above models. Comparative analysis of
all the models has been done on the basis of sensitivity and specificity, where, GBM has
delivered more promising results with sensitivity of 0.778 (77.8%) followed by “svmLinear”
with sensitivity of 0.5558 (55.58%), and “RandomForest” with sensitivity = 0.44 (44.4%). These

13. Credit card fraud detection using machine learning

Abstract

The usage of credit cards for online and regular purchases is exponentially increasing and so is the

fraud related with it. A large number of fraud transactions are made every day. Various modern

techniques like Data Mining, Genetic Programming, etc. are used in detecting fraudulent

transactions. This paper uses genetic algorithm which comprises of techniques for finding optimal

solution for the problem and implicitly generating the result of the fraudulent transaction. The

main aim is to detect the fraudulent transaction and to develop a method of generating test data.

Credit card fraud events take place frequently and then result in huge financial losses. Criminals

can use some technologies such as Trojan or Phishing to steal the information of other people’s

credit cards. Therefore, an effictive fraud detection method is important since it can identify a

fraud in time when a criminal uses a stolen card to consume. One method is to make full use of

the historical transaction data including normal transactions and fraud ones to obtain normal/fraud

behavior features based on machine learning techniques, and then utilize these features to check if

a transaction is fraud or not. In this paper, two kinds of random forests are used to train the behavior

features of normal and abnormal transactions. We make a comparison of the two random forests

which are different in their base classifiers, and analyze their performance on credit fraud

detection. The data used in our experiments come from an e-commerce.

15. Cyber Bullying Detection Using Social and Textual Analysis

Abstract
Criminal minded’ informal conversations on social media (e.g. Twitter) shed light into their
educational experiences—opinions, feelings, and concerns about the learning process. Data from
such un-instrumented environments can provide valuable knowledge to inform student learning.
Analyzing such data, however, can be challenging. The complexity of criminal minded’
experiences reflected from social media content requires human interpretation. However, the
growing scale of data demands automatic data analysis techniques. In this project data mining
algorithm based on Naïve Bayes Multi-Label Classifier is implemented which contains several
steps like Data Collection from twitter, Cleaning the data by removing stop words, removal of non
letter and punctuation marks, probability of the words for various categories namely Heavy Study
Load, Sleep Problems, Lack of Social Engagement, Negative Emotion and Diversity Issues is
estimated. For all the tweets Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1 measure, Micro Averaged & Macro
Averaged values are computed for each category and also for the various users. Therefore we can
conclude on average how many criminal minded have various categories of problems as well as
extend this to the problems faced by which user.

18. Facial Mask Detection using Semantic Segmentation

Abstract : Face Detection has evolved as a very popular problem in Image processing and

Computer Vision. Many new algorithms are being devised using convolutional architectures

to make the algorithm as accurate as possible. These convolutional architectures have made it

possible to extract even the pixel details. We aim to design a binary face classifier which can

detect any face present in the frame irrespective of its alignment. We present a method to

generate accurate face segmentation masks from any arbitrary size input image. Beginning

from the RGB image of any size, the method uses Predefined Training Weights of VGG – 16

Architecture for feature extraction. Training is performed through Fully Convolutional

Networks to semantically segment out the faces present in that image. Gradient Descent is used

for training while Binomial Cross Entropy is used as a loss function. Further the output image

from the FCN is processed to remove the unwanted noise and avoid the false predictions if any

and make bounding box around the faces. Furthermore, proposed model has also shown great

results in recognizing non-frontal faces. Along with this it is also able to detect multiple facial

masks in a single frame.
