I. Specific Objectives:
-Use there is/there are to name places in a town or city.
-Identify the vocabulary of places in a town or city.
-Practice the use of prepositions of place when giving directions.
-Learn basic phrases to ask and give directions.
-Recognize the parts of the body.
-State opinions about art.
-Distinguish different house parts and their corresponding furniture.

II. Goals to achieve:

-Create a description of the town or city where you live.

-Be able to give a word picture of their house or an specific room in it.

-Use the English language to provide or ask for an address.

III. Development

Exercise 1

Make a description of the place where you live. Use there is and there are when
doing it. At least 8 sentences. Use at least three prepositions of place.

Ex. I live in San Pedro Sula. There is a park near my house. There are many
restaurants and huge buildings. There´s a lot of traffic. I like how fast life is
here but I hate the noise.

I live in Santa Rosa de Copan, this place is amazing because it is big enough but not as big
as other cities where danger is in everywhere, there are many good restaurants like;
pronto alegre, seven etc. There are two big parks, the central one, and the most popular,
Cerrito park, there are night clubs also and indeed there is nightlife in this city, there are
many great universities and people from the surroundings come to study here, there is a
mall which is not so big but there are many interesting places on it, you find what you
need. There is a good cinema inside, this one was built recently, there is pizza hut, there
are some banks and there are three cafes. In this city, there is fun and you will enjoy it if
you come.

Exercise 2

Copy and paste a picture of a GPS location. ( workplace, home, special place to
be)

Write the address and give instructions in how to get there.

Ex. This is the central park near my house. It is in the 3 rd avenue and 1st street.
If you are from San Pedro Sula you can take a taxi cab or drive. Take the 1 st
street and stop at the Cathedral. It is in front of it. At least 8 lines.

If you come to Santa Rosa you have to visit Cerrito park, so, you can get that place
very easy, taxis know it perfectly however, if you want to go walking in order to see
more places and enjoy the city you just have two get two places, first: Central park,
then, you have to walk along centenario Street until it finishes, you will see Copan
Galel stadium and Cerrito park is next to it. The other way is, if you are near the
Occidente hospital, you walk along to Maria Medina street until first avenue, you turn
right and walk two blocks, you have to turn left walk along and you will see Cerrito
park in front of you.
